Try using the auger to test your soil if you are concerned that there are rocks or other obstructions in the area you plan to build on. The Titan Deck Foot Anchor is a user-friendly system but is not infallible. Rocks, roots, or a weak impact wrench. Use a ½" drive impact wrench (20V cordless). Obstructions may prevent you from driving the auger fully into the soil. Use only a 6 point socket to avoid stripping the drive head.
