Rated 5 out of 5 by from it's a win an excellent mower it's an excellent mower lots of power doesn't bog down at the fast pace i cut, the personal pace is great with a little tweak to my liking then it's perfect will almost do burn outs on the lawn, it cuts well, easy easy to start, it's not super loud and it's very fuel efficient for the little gas it holds.. what more could i ask for.. this one is a keeper so i make sure to use non ethanol fuel that premium dyed off road fuel and changed the breaking in oil.. it took less than 5 minutes by sucking it out and using a good 5 Litre jug of good syn oil i bought on sale for $32 CA that will last me for years

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Rubbish It worked well for the first 2 cuts, then started acting up. It would lose power, and stop. Would restart, after 5 or 6 pulls, then run for half a minute. I tried calling the 800 number on the sticker on the lawn mower, and the message was that number is no longer valid. I will try calling the number in the owner's manual. Nonetheless, I will have to take the machine to a repair shop, in the middle of the summer, when the lawn needs mowing. If I could get a complete refund, I would send it back.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great lawnmower I really enjoy this lawnmower. It’s easy to manoeuvre and mulches wonderfully. I was disappointed that after 1.5 months and a handful of uses a cable broke mid mow. However, I was able to reach out to a service location near me, who had the part and fixed it under warranty, all within a couple hours time. They said, and I quote “Toro is really great at warranty repairs, and in a timely manner.” Errors happen and it’s how they’re dealt with that makes the difference. This is our 3rd Toro, including one from the early 1990’s - which still runs but the deck has fallen apart.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from DO NOT BUY This lawnmower is about as horrible as every experience I've had inside a home depot store. Toro should be ashamed and embarrassed of itself. All of the parts are below expected quality and makes every time using the lawnmower a frustrating and disappointing experience. There are also big bold letters on the cheapest motor I've ever seen "GUARATEED TO START"..... Six months using the lawnmower, the motor barely turns over after 5 pulls every attempt. ROCK BOTTOM TORO!

Sometimes I mow 12 properties a day from 8,000 sqft. to the smallest sqft. lawns. I cut tall grass (knee high to the shortest grass). It's very powerful, good in gas ⛽, great mulcher and bagger, and very easy walk behind as a Personal Pace Self-Propelled.

I had to drive 3 hrs to buy mine. if you can find this mower from another store in your city It is definitely better than having to make that travel and I highly recommend this mower. clean cuts and smooth pushing.

Can you push the mower freely when shut off or are the wheels locked up due to the gears?

What material is deck, steel or aluminum?

It looks like aluminum to me - rugged machine, very happy with it. I have a big hill & uneven ground grass grows on. Can set blade height to over 4” - blade hasn’t bottomed out on rough ground yet & it’s almost magic to operate, just walk at your pace & mower travels at that speed. THE BEST MOWER I’ve ever owned/operated,

Asked another way, when cutting around shrubs, gardens etc, it is necessary to pull the mower backwards. Is it difficult due to the drive gears to pull this model backwards when the mower is running?  Thanks.

Is it difficult to push or pull the mower when for example edging around trees, shrubs or in corners with the self propelled lever disengaged?

Up hills, down hills, long stretches, it doesn't make a difference — Personal Pace doesn't push or pull you around instead it perfectly matches you and your pace.
