Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great range Purchased this model 5 years ago. It has split burners, NOT sealed burners. Split burners can be disassembled without tools for easy cleaning (sealed burnerscannot be disassembled. The range works as advertised. No issues with finish comes with two oven racks. It still works with the original battery to ignite the burners . Had an issue with the oven door not closing fully ( 5 years old),contacted the manufacturer directly, they responded within 1 hr, couriered door hinges kit, free of charge and K installed them Extremely pleased with this made in Canada appliance.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Cute but disappointing Disappointed. I bought to 30" version of this range in white. We are off grid and needed something to work without power. I loved the look of the stove when we first got it and it seemed to work well and could run on propane. However, I'm very disappointed in the quality. In just a year it was starting to yellow from heat and nothing would remove the stains. We've now been using it for barely 3 years and several of the burners won't light without a lighter (we've cleaned them), the oven won't light at all and the yellowing has gotten much worse to the point of being an eyesore, especially since the finish is white. It's also dirty in between the glass so after 3 years we need to replace it. I really wanted to love this stove but don't think I should need to be replacing it so soon and wanted to give a heads up to others.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Oven Door Window Shatters! We have had the unit for 2 weeks since install. All was well until the 4th time we used the oven. Last evening, about 10 mins into warming a casserole in the oven, we heard the sound of breaking glass and found that the outside glass on the oven door had shattered sending pieces of glass into the room. We will be filing a complaint as this was a significant safety issue and will expect a new door to be installed quickly.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from new versus older version WE have an older unique 30 inch Unique and we seems to have issue with lighting the oven....This new unique 24 inch wich we use in a cabin ....The oven seems to be a lot easier to ignite ....Thanks ...and the service from home depot was good.

What kind of batteries are used for the ignition? Can you confirm that the oven functions without electricity? Is there an oven thermostat?

The ignition uses 1 D cell battery. Yes, the oven works without electricity and it has a thermostat. This stove is great as an off grid appliance.

Does this stove require the pilot light to be lit all the time? We have two stoves that require the pilot light to be lit before use and I have one stove in the States that does not require a pilot light, just turn the burner, clicks and lights.

Our Unique Off-Grid Classic Ranges do have a pilot light. To light either the cooktop or oven, simply push and turn the knob, it will click the battery ignition system and light the flame.

will a 13 by 18 pan fit in the oven?

I believe that it will Have cooked a 14 pound turkey in this range. It is in a remote camp that I will be checking on this weekend. I’ll measure the oven and update if it’s smaller than that.
