Rated 3 out of 5 by from Cooks well, but beware the lid lock! We bought this grill a month ago because we wanted a nice, compact BBQ and we really wanted to love it, but it has one very large flaw. I like the size, and all the food we've cooked so far has been wonderful, but the lid lock is terrible. On our very first use, the lid popped open and the grills fell out. Putting it away, the same thing happened again. It seems like every time we use it we have to tip toe around with it to try not to pop the latch. The BBQ is barely a month old and it's already dented and the protective coating scratched off from the grills falling repeatedly. It really soured what would have been a great BBQ.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Exactly as described - another great Weber product (This review was collected as part of a promotion.) I bought this grill because it folds nicely, has a great size grilling area, and has a folding stand that was designed to work with the grill. Folds nicely and locks when down so it doesn't open during transport. Easy to set up with one hand, and easy to take down. I would be careful using this in cold winters since it has a gas spring which could become damaged if operating in the cold. Heats up very fast and can get very hot. I love the side chopping board (sold separately). Not too heavy for me to lift on my own, but do so at your own risk!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Latch to Lock the Lid Down Flawed Have only used the Weber Traveler once. Happy about the portability for camping and of coarse the cooking capability. Major disappointment with the latch to lock the lid down.Twice the lid opened while I was moving the Weber and grills fell out scratching the enamel on the lid. I talked with a Weber rep and was sent a washer to attach to the locking mechanism. I attached the washer but the lid can still open when fully upright. I guess I'll have to design something to hold the lid down. Disappointing after spending the money on a new BBq. First time I have had an issue with a Weber BBq.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fun little BBQ I love this bbq! My grandfather originally bought a Weber. He was so satisfied with it that after he moved and no longer needed a bbq, he gave it to my aunt. She loved it so much - the large cooking grill, how little space it took on her balcony, how quickly it heated up, the consistent cooking, that she recommended it to me. I chose the portable model, to make it easy to put away in the winter and I’m very happy with it! The mini propane tank that is recommended for it would only be good for traveling. Instead, I have an adaptor that can connect to a normal size propane tank. Perfect!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect for our family (This review was collected as part of a promotion.) Its a great grill that gets up to temperatures you expect from a 6 burner bbq! We don’t grill that often and just got rid of our old big bbq. We have friends with the Q series and TJ try have always seemed quite adequate for back yard barbecues. When we saw the sleek and compact features of the traveller, it was a no brainer. The grill surface seems to be a little larger than the Q series that we’ve seen. Best part is that you can tuck it away in the corner when not in use. Used it last week to cook perfect steaks. Highly recommend!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Mostly great and mostly a well built grill... Slick and well designed self packing mechanism, heat output is ok, lots of grill real estate, but burns a lot more gas vs the N competitor with a thicker cookbox material. Lid wasn't designed with the best clearance and scraped quite a bit of enamel off the bottom half just from opening and closing twice. Thermometer condenses and Weber at first refused to replace it claiming it's simply normal, then offered to replace it but have not heard from them since. It pricey, but looks nice, and the self packing mechanism is a sure to wow bystanders. As a grill it does its job

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Almost perfect (This review was collected as part of a promotion.) We bought this for use with our travel trailer and it’s perfectly designed for that. The grill heats up pretty fast and doesn’t seem to be lose too much heat when windy (and lid closed), unlike the Q. And it grills very nicely. Setting it up and taking it down is a breeze and this feature has been cleverly designed. We’ve had no issues with the lid opening and grates fallong out. The only complaint I have is the grease tray - it’s not held In by friction so can move out when collapsing the unit. This happened to me and it got crushed enough that I will need to replace it. But other than that, I’m very impressed with the Traveler and fully expect to get years of use out of it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Outstanding (This review was collected as part of a promotion.) We bought the Weber Traveller for our yearly camping trip to replace an old cheap table top BBQ. Set up was incredibly simple, and when we got to our campsite having a stand alone BBQ allowed us to use the picnic table for other needs. We used the Traveler extensively during our trip and it performed exceptionally well. Shrimp and Scallops while camping, yes please! This was by far the best purchase we have made for our camping in years and we don’t regret it at all. Simply outstanding. From set up to packing away the craftsmanship is obvious with the traveller. It was a joy to use and watching it collapse and lock its own lid was so fun I did it over and over

Is there an adapter to enable this grill to work with propane bottles as well as the on board low pressure flow propane system on an Airstream? I would like to use it both ways.

Asked by: Vivi
Yes. I've purchased an adapter to use with 20 lb propane bottles. I don't know much about the propane system on an Airstream, but if it's reliable enough for the gas range, seems like it could also power the BBQ if you find the correct adapter.

Can this be converted for a natural gas hook up?

Asked by: Anne
From what I can tell it can have an adapter hooked up to it for a large propane tank as for natural gas I’m not sure. It honestly isn’t the kind of bbq that you would use with natural gas though considering it is portable
