Rated 3 out of 5 by from Power-off forces resync to be required. The unit works but I have a little bit of buyer's remorse on this unit. I found that each time the power is removed from the receiver (it's connected to a GFCI ) the receiver has to be accessed and set to resync to the transmitter again. Shouldn't the receiver be able to store the sync info in a local FLASH memory and then just come up synchronized with the transmitter?

Although it took me a while to figure out how to set it up, once I found a comment saying you have to press both at the same time to pair it I think, then it work beautifully. Has been in rain, and sun, and so far so good, I can turn it on / off from the window (i installed in balcony).

Is this waterproof when in use/plugged in? It'll be mounted on an outdoor outlet at the side of the house to control a light. It will stay plugged in permanently outdoors. Will get rain and snow on it. Will control remote from inside the house. Thanks

We have two (one for Christmas lights and one for shed …. both mounted outside).  They are completely water/snow proof.  We use the remote controls from inside the house.  We have had them for many years and love them.

Is the remote line of sight? The plug is on the outside wall that I need to control, so you cannot see it from the inside.
