This pump failed after 13 months , it has a 3 year warranty, but I discovered that it wasn't working just before storms were on their way . This is protecting my basement from water damage , to collect on the warranty you have to call customer service , produce your receipt, then somebody will troubleshoot with you over the phone , send you parts so YOU can fix it . Don't buy this product , it won't last through the warranty period. What are you going to do when your basement is flooding , call Home Depot customer service , NOT, you are going to have to buy another Sump Pump anyhow . I Suggest you purchase one better than this one . The last one I had before this one lasted more that 20 year !!!

Rated 5 de 5 de par Great for my application Used to pump out an old rainwater cistern that I am having filled in. It was about 20ft of lift needed at the very bottom. I figured it would slow down a lot at the very bottom as it was lowered deeper and the lift required increased, based on the specification chart. However, I could not tell a significant/ if any difference in the discharge rate from the time I first started pumping to the time I got to the bottom at 20ft below grade. It pumped about a 10ft column of water in roughly 4hrs. Hard to estimate total volume moved, but I'm figuring 12,000 to 15,000 gallons. It was barely warm after pumping 4 hrs constant. I thought I'd be pumping for days but this thing really impressed me for this job.

It is well built, easy to maintain and pumps water efficiently. Instructions are well written and it is relatively easy to install. Only drawback is that it is rather noisy when running -- this may be due to vibration. Be sure to purchase a check valve suitable for your system. The Zoeller quiet check valve is recommended. We are using this in a two pump system as a back - up, originally it was our main pump until we decided to upgrade the primary pump to a full 1HP. The area our house is located in has a high water table.

But, it can get a bit annoying after awhile. Soon after installing this pump my wife and I thought we heard a fog horn in the distance. It turned out that it was this pump. Interesting, yes, but not the desired effect. That having been said, it does seem well built and should continue to provide us with a dry basement and the accompanying fog horn for some time to come.

Rated 2 de 5 de par SP05002VD Going to have to agree with the majority here. The pump is strong and yes a bit loud. Good thing that it is strong, because it has been discovered several times running to no end and so hot that the water in reservoir was near enough to burn The bottom volute warped from the heat which I replaced for 24.xx using only number found on bottom. I have only witnessed the unit fail to actuate once and that was due to pwr chord falling slightly on switch just enough to hender operation. Over 2yrs in and roughly $220.00 spent, I must say DONT BUY your $ will be better spent on other brand. Unit does not pump water out basement anymore because home requires head of 6-8 ft. This pump now only pushes water up a little over 5 feet. Motor simply is its own worst enemy if it is that it has to run non-stop.

Rated 3 de 5 de par float switch Our sump pump is only 11 months old and something is wrong with the float switch. Tried calling the customer service number numerous times and no one answers. Does the 844-241-5521 number even work?

THE AUTOMATIC FLOAT VALVE HAS FAILED TO WORK THREE TIMES AND ALLOWED OUR BASEMENT TO FLOOD. EACH TIME WE HAVE CONTACTED EVERBILT AND THEY HAVE SENT US A NEW FLOAT VALVE WHICH WE CAN EASILY CHANGE OUT AND REPLACE THE OLD ONE WITH. NOW FOR THE THIRD TIME IT HAS STUCK AGAIN ALLOWING THE BASEMENT TO FLOOD. THE FLOAT ACUTALLY FLOATS UP ITS SHAFT JUST FINE (NO OBSUTRUCTION) BUT WHEN IT REACHED THE TOP IT DID NOT ACUTATE THE PUMP. WHEN I REACH DOWN THROUGH THE WATER AND JUST BARELY TOUCH OR JOG THE FLOAT VALVE IT KICKS ON. PLAY WITH IT AND TEST IT A FEW TIMES AND IT SEEMS TO WORK JUST FINE, BUT THEN IN AN ACTUAL USE IT FAILS! AFTER THREE TIMES, THIS HAS TO BE A MANUFACTURE DEFECT. I AM CONTACTING THE MANUFACTURER TO COMPLAIN AND SEE HOW THEY WANT TO HANDLE THE DAMAGES! PS. ON A POSITIVE NOTE, THE PUMP ITSELF IS ROBUST AND WORKS GREAT, JUST NOT THE FLOAT VALVE.

Found the discharge hose split in two places when I fixed it. This is my third sump pump in six years. I went through two Flotec pumps before upgrading(?) to this one, expecting this to give me some maintenance relief. Somewhat disappointed today that I had to replace the overpriced switch so soon. I hope it lasts longer than 1.5 years. I replaced the cheap, broken corrugated discharge hose with a 2 foot radiator flex hose (rubber with reinforced interior steel spring) from the local auto parts store...huge improvement and a perfect fit in my ~3 foot deep pit. The sump pump now runs quieter, barely chattering, Also, I don't have a bunch of extra hose wrapped around in my pit. Dayco Flex Hose 81071 This hose will probably outlast the sump pump.

Is it posible to rotate and flip the float bracket so the pump runs longer opposed to more often?

Posée par: clydemfb
I have the same problem. I have not researched magnetic switches yet. I am thinking if you flipped the bracket over. Which will raise it higher. You still need to extend or lengthen the 1/2" round plastic rod that the float rides up and down on. It will travel the same discharging the same amount. This needs a longer travel. But I assume the inductive feild inside of it, or the magnetic field? cannot be modified.

Why will my pump not turn off after it empties the sump pit?

Posée par: Pharmalot
Probably means the magnet sensor that detects the height of the float is not working, either the float is stuck in some position or the sensor itself is not detecting it properly.

How high is the water level before the pump kicks in

Posée par: 2221
In my sump, the water level has to reach about 1 inch before it kicks on

Should an air bleed hole be drilled (1/8") in the discharge pipe to prevent the pump from air locking?

Posée par: Robb
This is such an overrated issue when it really doesn't have to be. As long as the pump is operated a few times under water, as long as there is an anti siphon valve and as long as it isn't run dry after that, air locking won't be an issue. So, just to be safe, drill the tiny hole. Many of the anti siphon valves (Sears) come with the hole already drilled in the valve sleeve. It is small so look for it. I found some of the holes drilled in the threads so look carefully and make sure not to screw the valve all the way down into the base of the pump or the hole will be covered. If that happens, just drill another hole a few inches up. Run the pump a few times and you should be fine after that. I've had pumps run just fine with and without the hole because I make sure to prime them a few times. Priming is running water in hole long enough for the pump to cycle on & off a few times. Finally remember this: Pumps can dry out during times of drought. Check the pump often to make sure it always has water covering the intake or air locking CAN happen. If it does, simply run water into the hole as directed above to re-prime it.

How many gallons per hour does it pump with a 7’head ( lift) ?

Posée par: Mark
That question you should really ask the mfg but that being said figure about a 40% drop off the max gallons stated without the lift. My lift is about the same and I use 1 1/2" hose up the lift, then 2" pvc to go around another 75' and it works fine

Most pumps state the flow rate (gallons per minute )in the specs.I could not find any listing for...

Posée par: Mark
Hi Mark, The flow rates are displayed on page 2 of the user manual. At 0 feet of lift the flow is 4,200 gallons per hour, at 5 feet of lift the flow is 4,000 gallons per hour, at 10 feet of lift the flow rate is 3,600 gallons per hour, at 15 feet of lift the flow rate is 3,200 gallons per hour, at 20 feet of lift the flow rate is 2,400 gallons per hour, and at 25 feet of lift the flow rate is 1,200 gallons per hour. Thanks!
