Rated 5 de 5 de par I log over 25, 000 miles a year on the road for work and I h I log over 25, 000 miles a year on the road for work and I have tried all kinds of solutions out there...The Steelie car mount system is by far the best one I found; It installs in minutes without a bunch of bulky parts that can break, it is super easy to use and see your phone from any angle, you have access to all your connections which is rare among these type of units. I thought the magnetic socket would add bulk but it really doesn't, in fact it adds a little spot for extra grip when you are holding the phone. I love mine so much I got another mount for my other car! Thanks for a truly innovative solution for securing a phone in the car.

Rated 3 de 5 de par Expensive for the lifespan I purchased my set to use in my car for my smart phone. The strong magnet and simple installation made it easy to get started. After about six months of use the rubber gasket inside the desk that attaches to the phone became smooth and the phone will not stay upright on The wall mount. Sometimes gravity pulls it to the left or the right but it always pulls it down so that the phone no longer stays in the position I choose for it to stay. I had written the review three months ago I would have given it five stars. Six months in it still has a strong magnet but the rubber gasket seems to need to be replaced. Now it’s just more of a hassle to use

Rated 1 de 5 de par Mechanism slips inside I bought two of these when we switched phones because I wanted to use wireless charging and couldn’t keep a magnet on the back of our phones. First thing I noticed was that the adjustment really only held the phone well if the spacers were used. But it seemed ok. But after a short time, my wife’s wouldn’t clamp shut and would only stay open. My wife is in and out of her car all day. Since my commute is very short, I swapped with her and within another month, the other freemount had quit holding the phone also. I can’t confirm that it isn’t user error, but for two to quit working in exactly the same manner, I’m not statisfied with the quality of this product.

Rated 5 de 5 de par Holding on for dear life I am always slapping this thing to anything metal so that I don't have to carry my gargantuan phone around in my pocket. I'm like 3 feet tall, so I'm not sure why I thought it would be a good idea to buy a Note 4 (which is the size of my thigh). Anywho, I slapped it to the side of my wife's car this afternoon while I was fixing a sprinkler head, so that I could listen to Spotify from my phone. The next thing I know, my wife has driven off with her car, with my phone still sticking to the door panel. She was on the freeway for nearly 30 minutes with that thing still clinging to the side of the car. Long story short, the magnet on this phone is over three years old, and still has the devil's grip. I recommend it to anyone and everyone.

Rated 5 de 5 de par Steelie Dash Mount Kit I have the steelie ball mounted to my dash, just under my A/C vent and left of my radio. Its very convenient to slap my smartphone on my dash and go. If i need the GPS, its right there (no stupid suction cup to block my view) and can easily plug it into power or my radio. Its a super strong magnet, yet hasnt affected my phone at all. it swivels easily, so i can easily see my phone without glare. The magnet attached easily to my phone case (low profile, wont snag pockets). Will probably put another steel ball in my wife's car for when we travel. Its all very secure. Not sure how the vent mount would work, but Im VERY happy with the dash mount. I HIGHLY recommend.

Rated 3 de 5 de par Faulty Spring I had bought two of the spring loaded FreeMount Kits for my 2 vehicles. One was a Dash mount and the other a vent mount. The Dash Mount works Great! However the Vent mount does not work well. It doesn't matter where I position the vent mount it slowly moves down. Therefore, I purchased another Dash Mount and everything worked beautifully until a few weeks ago. The Freemount bracket no longer springs. Luckily I still have the other bracket but now I have to constantly remember to move the bracket. I have the pedestal kit and the removal multistick which work fine. Disappointed with the Vent Mount and how quickly the freemount bracket broke.

Rated 1 de 5 de par Love the idea, but.... I bought this last week for use in my semi truck to mount my Samsung Galaxy Note 9 in an Otterbox Commuter case. The arm suctions securely to the windshield, the magnet socket is stuck firmly to the phone case-the problem is it does NOT hold the phone while traveling down the road. Nite Ize needs to sell all of these kits with the option to swap out the original magnet socket with the tablet version for our larger encased phones. Not happy with this situation and will probably end up throwing it away because the magnet will not hold my phone, so it's useless to me.

Rated 5 de 5 de par Great for hands free navigation I love this little guy -- it fits right into the vent of my Subaru Impreza [also, my boyfriend's Toyota Tundra] + allows for enough adjustment to give me access to my heat controls + radio controls. When you're mounting it in your vent try a few different angles -- the one that worked for me initially felt upside down, but ultimately had enough leverage to keep my phone straight. I paired this with the Freemount kit, so there is nothing stuck to my phone. The Freemount kits just hugs my phone into place [+ also keeps tight!]. I honestly didn't think I needed this -- until I had it. Much easier to use than balancing my phone/GPS on my knee or center consel.

Yes - on the back of the package is a "ruler" that shows the minimum and maximum width of the phone that the arms extend and contract to.
