Rated 1 out of 5 by from Disappointing I bought this because I liked the idea that it resists tipping in the wind. In reality, this feature makes the umbrella tip more! When the wind blows, the umbrella tilts upward and thus catches more wind which pushes it over faster. Terrible design. Also the tilting mechanism seized up and does not work anymore. Expensive garbage.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not what I expected This really isn't as wind resistant as it would lead you to believe. We live in the suburbs so it's not like it's an open field, and while this works fine with very slight wind, it has tossed my table over on its side on more than one occasion. Luckily my chairs saved it. Also, the screw in the tilt won't stay in, causing it to tilt and come apart especially in a higher wind. I don't know what the option is for wind, I've looked at umbrellas forever, but I'm really not super happy with this after having it only a couple of months.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Good for windy areas BUT color fades fast! We have been using this umbrella for 4 months. The wind resistant umbrella part is great (we get pretty strong winds at our home) BUT in a short time we noticed that our black umbrella was fading and looking brown with streaks (supposed to be fade resistant). This is why I gave the low stars; otherwise I would have given it 5-stars. Unfortunately I will be returning it as it has not done what the manufacturer stated.

Tilting mechanism broke with less than 3 weeks of use, the umbrella head won't stay up straight all of a sudden, tilts with the slightest wind. Corliving offered to replace the frame but wanted over $60 to ship the parts to me, I ended up retuning the umbrella to the store.

We have literally been through about 5 different umbrellas trying to find a solution to our wind problem. This one certainly stands up to the harshest conditions. It was rather expensive, but worth it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good deck umbrella We like this umbrella after using it for about 1 month. Tilting feature is good and it raises and lowers cleanly. It has a unique feature whereby if it is windy, the umbrella "flexes" and detaches somewhat with the wind from the solid frame (though it is still attached). It's hard to explain but it makes the umbrella less prone to wind gust problems. If you are concerned with stability in the wind, best to get a solid table with an umbrella hole. We did this and it markedly improves stability. Without, it may blow over in strong winds even if you have water in the base. Not sure about sand for weight in the base.

I only give four stars as it is indeed 9ft wide as others have mentioned, and not 10ft. Please Corliving can you make this in a larger size, or build the wind resistant design into some of your other umbrella styles.

Is the fabric removable or replacable? Does the top has bolt to remove the fabric?

I did not see anything that allowed the fabric to be removed. Unfortunately the fabric turned from Black to Milky brown within a month(ish). Very disappointed in the fading of this product.

How to adjust tilt mechanism. Won’t tilt all the way back when rotating tilt lever.

In regard to the review re: fading, answer 200 hours. Does that mean when umbrella remains closed in the sun, once opened you will see faded areas?

Absolutely no fading. Colour has remained unchanged since purchased 1.5 years ago. Love this umbrella. We love our umbrella. Love that it articulates. We selected the blue umbrella and love the colour.

Hello, this umbrella has a recommended counter base weight of 40 lbs. Bases for this umbrella can be found under the Model # PPU-901-U and PPU-900-U (PPU-900-U requires base weights [PPU-902-U] or patio stones sold separately).
