Re ever I’ll model HDCTFPG float switch. Is the switch always open until an upper water level is reached. I want to use product in a water storage tank to prevent over. Filling.

Asked by: Rudy
Mine is used in a two stage septic system. The pump plug goes in the plug for the switch, above the water line. I would check the current draw on the motor suppluing the water. In short, yes, the switch is open until the float rises enough to close the contacts in the float, and turens on the motor. Hope this helps.

Hydromatic Aurora sump pump. 115 bolts 12.0 amps. Original float switch would trigger pump to lower water level. This one does not trigger pump. Multimeter test shows contact when float elevated. What is the the two piece plastic threaded plug about?

Asked by: Woofendog
The float switch is actually a switch. The pump power plug should be plugged into one side of the float switch plug, and the float switch plug goes into the wall receptacle. If you have further problems, please feel free to contact me, and I will send you a picture of ours. Patrick

're 3 year old response to my recent question. Pump works when plugged into wall outlet. Pump does not work when plugged into piggyback plug of float switch which has been plugged into wall outlet. What is the two piece plastic threaded piece for?

Asked by: Woofendog
Woofendog, do you have a model number for the actual float switch you purchased? The float switch that has a threaded piece is not our piggy back switch. If you could contact our customer service, we would be happy to assist you with your float switch. You can reach us at 844-883-1872. Regards, Everbilt Customer Service
