Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works well...after you figure out how to use it. Got this on sale a couple of years ago. The manual sucks but the compressor is rock solid. Nowhere does it tell you how to get the compressed air from the tank to the outlet connectors. All the manual says is 'turn the pressure regulator counterclockwise'. To get the air to the connectors, you have to turn that pressure regulator clockwise until the output matches the pressure rating of the tool you're using. It's simple enough once you get the hang of it. One video on YT described a compressor from another manufacturer and voila, I saw what I had to do. This compressor comes with no attachments, nothing at all, just the compressor. If you shop around, you'll find some deals on the hoses and small tools you need.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Product. Not Annoying Noisy! Bought this product on sale. I was worried about the noise after reading the reviews. However after I had a test run last night, I found the noise level is totally acceptable and especially the low pitch tone is more soft and comfortable than my former 2 gal one. It looks and feels like a solid unit. Will do break-in and keep it for my leasure DIY work. Minor issue I feel is that the bleeding valve might be a bit down to the floor and I will keep an eye on it when move it around.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Does exactly as advertised Right out of the box it performed wonderfully. Not quiet but manageable I wore ear protection because I have only 1 good ear and will not chance damaging the other. Would be loud in a room in most houses but not like some compressors. NO ASSEMBLY required. Remember to do the 30 minute break-in run before you do any work. Pumped up tires on lawn tractor in seconds and blew the dust from my work bench in a breeze (wind?). Cleaned up my chainsaw in seconds. Will not likely be doing any nailing but this thing will do most light to intermediate nailing without effort. Not recommended for painting or continuous use jobs but it could do some short jobs in an emergency. Pumped up the tank to 150PSI in about 2 minutes and holds the pressure without leaks. The universal quick connectors (2) are great and come installed. 1/4 turn drain plug is very neat. Remember, this item does not include any tools, hose or attachments, JUST the compressor. Buy the best hose you can afford, don't cheap out! Get 50 ft and you'll thank yourself. I suggest 3/8" hose with 1/4" fittings. Don't get the coiled stuff; it's just a pain. I'll do a later review when some time passes

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good purchase for DIY home guy Replaced my old broken no name compressor with this Ridgid. Use it mostly for tires but also DIY projects around the house. It is fairly light and easy to carry around. Fills up fast enough. It’s a compressor, so it’s noisy but not unbearable. I was looking at more expensive compressors but happy I made this purchase as it satisfies all my needs. Thanks Ridgid.

I love the double female air connectors. They are great for using two tools without having to reconnect every time you change them. I would definitely recommend this unit.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Loud, powerful, fast to fill. Louder than expected, it does a good job at filling the tank quickly. The knob adjusting the external pressure seems hard to lock back in place. Overall I was able to do what I need. Happy with the price. Let's see how long it will last.

Yes you can. Just set the regulator to the correct PSI and lock it in. For best results, stop while the compressor is running so the gun doesn't run below the recommended PSI.

Hi, Can this air compressor be used to blow water in residential  irrigation system?

I doubt that it has enough capacity to complete this task . Irrigation system winterization requires a large industrial compressor . And then only one zone is winterized at a time , until all zones are completed.
