RYOBI introduces a new tool that defines professional features at an affordable price: the 18V ONE+ Drain Auger. This unit helps clear clogs with ease from drains up to 2 -inch wide including sinks, toilets, and bath tubs. This unit also features a 25 ft. reinforced cable which will minimize kinking. This unit is backed by a 3 year warranty. Best of all, it is part of the RYOBI ONE+ system, any ONE+ battery fits any ONE+ tool.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from An Affordable Choice for a DIYer I bought this to snake out a blockage in our central vac piping and to have on hand for any sewer blockages. It worked well for my purposes. It feeds out the snake automatically as you press a lever at the front of the tool. HOWEVER, the tool does not automatically feed the snake back onto the coil when the job is done. You have to manually do that. That's not a big deal if you're using it once in a blue moon (although it's not exactly pleasant if you've just snaked a sewer line). But I couldn't recommend this to a professional or anyone who is snaking lines with any regularity. For the occasional user, though, the tool's effectiveness and price point make it hard to beat.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Spend the money for a higher end Auger Does not “auto feed”. No matter what position you are in, any kind of turn more than 45 degrees in the blocked pipe makes it useless as a drain auger. I had to use gloves to feed the wire into the drain and pull it out of the Ryobi Tool, “auto feed” will only make force the wire into a coil. Only useful feature is the “Clamp” and “Reverse Feed”. Drained a 4ah Battery in 13 minutes 27 seconds…. Yea, I actually timed it. I get well over an hour of continuous use with my weed whipper and blower with the 4ah Battery. Spend the money and get a good one.

It still takes time to snake all the way to the trouble area, but way better than cranking by hand. Also, saves money on a plumber. The only downside is the grip required to feed the line forward, etc.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Weak cable I waited years to buy this drain auger, had a clog in my drain, watched the instruction video and followed step by step, it was fine at first but the deeper it got it got stuck and snapped like a twig, super disappointed, worst Ryobi tool I've gotten. Can't say I recommend it which is very sad.

I went and bought the Ryobi auger so I could snake the line myself from the access port in my house. On the first try I broke through the clog and pulled out some nasty stuff. The tool is well made, super easy to use, and very effective. It paid for itself in one use.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from WHAT A GREAT TOOL i am a plumber and i bought this not expecting much, i wanted it mostly because of some calls i had to do for my plug in the wall electric snake there was no power in the washroom and dragging an extention cord through a customers house didnt look to professional and sometimes we got blamed for a dirty carpet or something and of course didnt do! but anyway I seen it, bought it and used all in the same day, well what a great buy works great for the calls i had. Now granted two batteries are a must for my application and use and my electric plug in the wall machine does have a 50ft 3/8" cable and interchangeable heads and attachments and weighs 30lbs for the bigger jobs i run into. But the DIY type of plugged drains that I unclog, like shower, tub, drains, kitchen sink drains with in the 25ft length to the main sewer, washing machine stand pipe, some floor drains, but thats about it only small diameter pipes like the box says up to 2 inch, also the big mistake that is made is this machine will not unplug a toilet as advertised.. do not expect it too, trust me all what will happen is the cable will get tied up in a knot and break or jam up the machine. USE A PLUNGER!!.I now use this machine more than my plug in the wall version, its lighter and does the job i require, just have to make sure i keep the batteries charged.. This is a Great Buy for the money, it is too bad it doesnt come with a battery and charger of all the Ryobi machines that should be complete this is one, So when you buy the tool also buy the two battery package and charger its worth the extra.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent I bought this today after much deliberation. I was Pleasantly surprised. The bad reviews are definitely from competitors. This is a very good piece of equipment. Well done! Ryobi has hit out of the ball park again. You Must read the manual AND You Must watch a couple of instructional videos. Just Google it and you get very helpful videos on YouTube. Follow the safety guidelines! This can be dangerous if not used properly, as with any tool. Take the time and do your homework and you will be surprised how easy it is!

My sink drain has a built in catchment which would only allow a 1/4” max diameter end bulb through. Would this tool fit?
