Rated 2 out of 5 by from Disappointing I love the Ryobi equipment, but the batteries are a huge disappointment! They do not come close to their ratings for the amount of time you should be able to get out of them. I had a few 4ah batteries which were not providing me with enough time to cut my front and back lawn in one session without having to recharge them. My lawn is not that thick and the property is not overly large. I was averaging about 10 min per battery. I decided to try the 6ah, as it advertises that you get more power from it. Well after spending more money on batteries, I have found that I’m still getting only about 10 minutes from it! Very disappointing!!! Ryobi makes great equipment but needs to fix this problem with their batteries!!!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Batteries won't hold a charge and "no warranty" Absolute junk. Purchased a few months ago, used them to build my deck, no problem. Used with a Ryobi 1/2 impact gun off and on on my project cars over the next few months, both have now failed and won't take a charge. Home Depot washes their hands of them and says I have to deal with Ryobi, Ryobi says I need my receipt which of course I didn't keep. I ask Home Depot to look up the receipt based on my card purchase record, no interest in helping. I've got 32 Ryobi One tools, their Link system, mobile tool cart / boxes, 7 other smaller capacity batteries that have no issues. You'd think someone would make a sensible decision to take care of a defective product, but Ryobi has basically no after sale service, nor does Home Depot.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from I hate that I have to give a bad review. But I have had 8 batteries in the last couple of years and they don't last like the older style did. The tools are working great but the batteries suck. Only one is charging now. I use tools from several different brands and I don't have hardly any trouble with batteries. The batteries are too expensive to fail so quickly. I've had ryobi for years and got 5 new tools now and 1 working battery out of the 8. Its just frustrating to keep buying them.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Ryobi warranty disappointment Caution, warranty will not be honored if battery purchased separately by Ryobi without a receipt. Pretty crappy huge waste of time registering tools and batteries. Call centers are surprisingly "experiencing high call volumes" so you'll be lucky to find out you wasted a lot of time hoping for a positive answer. Product failed after a couple uses, also poor!

The charge barely lasts half the time as it’s advertised and I have to constantly put it on the charger. It takes me way longer to get anything done. All my Ryobi tools work great and I have many of them but unfortunately these batteries are very unreliable. Previous battery that came with drill set also just completely stopped working after a few months. Very disappointing.

This set of 2 high performance 4mAH batteries are a great addtion to our families tools and 2 vacuum products which help complete new projects and keep our work areas clean. Great value

Can I use this battery to replace a Ryobi P108 battery? I.e., I have a lot of old but well loved Ryobi tools (e.g., P271 drill)

If it's any18V Ryobi Yes, but you may require a new Battery charger if your current charger was NOT designed to charge Lithium Batteries.

Nervous about lithium batteries. I live on lake, it’s damp in summer and freezing in winter. I’ll assume I can’t store in boat house because it’s way too cold in winter. It’s warmer in my garage but it gets warm in summer. Should I keep in home and where?

I keep my batteries in the garage (Ottawa) from mid May to mid October and in the basement for the winter. No problems after one year with these batteries. Excellent performance.

Just wondering if this 6.0 ah battery is enough power to run my side walk edger my 2 amp just dy in 1 minute?

Definitely this 6Ah battery can last multiple days of edging. Your 2Ah batt may be end of life to last just 1min. It should be able to run your edger more than an hour at least if the condition is still optimal. I use to have a 18v mower using 4Ah and it covers close to 500sqft lawn with power to spare after.
