PROS: 1 . PRICE POINT - AT TIME OF PURCHASE WAS REASONABLE FOR A CORDLESS BRUSHLESS ITEM -- 2. INCLUDED BLADE - GOOD ENOUGH FOR MY CURRENT USE. -- 3. SIMPLE FUNCTIONS. -- 4. LIGHT - PRETTY BRIGHT BUT ALMOST TOO BRIGHT CONS: 1. SLIGHTLY FRONT HEAVY ( MAKE SENSE BASED ON DESIGN) -- 2. NO LASER (AGAIN, PRICE POINT, SO USE IN A DECENTLY LIT AREA) --3 . Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice and precise but a beast if needed! Purchased this to finally move on from my corded jigsaw that only takes the older-style blades. It comes with a number of nice features so it can do far more than just open jigsaw puzzle boxes. The brushless motor means longer run times... it has variable speed for finer cutting... all the standard options for things like bevelled cuts. I'm most impressed by the orbital setting that allows the blade to move in a shallow arc (as well as the standard straight up and down). With a coarse cut blade, full speed, and full orbital setting, this jigsaw tears through wood effortlessly even though, like me, you bought it for opening jigsaw puzzle boxes. In short, another impressive tool to add to my Ryobi ONE+ collection.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not for me! I am totally dissatisfied with this tool. Bought it and a set of Ryobi blades two weeks ago and used it yesterday for the first time. Needed to cut a piece of 3/4” pine. Could not cut a straight line as there is too much sideways movement in the blade receptacle. Make sure you check this out before purchasing. I will be returning mine for a refund for sure.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Jig saw works good until it doesn't Has this for about a year and a half and lent it to my father in law and he broke it. I thought maybe the chuck was bent but all was good the that but the thing is held in place by the crappy plastic shell, which was broken on the inside. No fixing this one without the entire new shell.

Looking forward to using this brushless (read: much more powerful and longer lasting) cordless jig saw, seems like a typically well-constructed Ryobi tool. *Be aware*: it not only doesn't include a battery or charger (noted on the box), but also doesn't include even one jig blade.

Does this saw take standard blades (the ones with the hole at top) or only the ‘T’ type ones
