Rated 5 out of 5 by from This Wrench Packs Quite A Punch! I bought this to replace my old compressor-powered air gun. Absolutely NO comparison. This baby can do it all. Rust is no challenge. I truly believe that if this tool cannot remove seized nuts, it'll simply snap them off the bolts! We used it to remove and re-install HD truck suspension components without any hassle. Very powerful and quick. You just have to be extra careful when using it - just like any other monster tool. Highly recommend.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from ½" high torque I bought the 10 tool combo and this impact was in it. I do some heavy duty mechanical work on semi trucks. I was finally able to test it out and it took off all 10 lug nuts that are torqued to 500ft-lbs with ease. I used a 4ah battery and it used 1.5 to 2 bars of power. I say 1.5 because it showed 2 bars right after using and then a few minutes later showed 3 bars again. It's a great tool and Im really impressed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome tool love it. Got this as a Christmas gift and use it everyday at work. It lives on automatic mode and love that it will not over tighten bolts/nuts on this setting. Have used it on wheel lug nuts to caliper bracket bolts to a crankshaft bolt on a small ford 4 cylinder. Have yet to see it really work hard. And I’m only using the 3ah batteries that are 2 years old. Also don’t find it too loud.

I have the 300 foot pound one for years and on my van it was great when properly torqued but when the mechanics hammered the lugs on with an air gun it would struggle and I would have to hall out a breaker bar. Not this one, rips the tightest ones off with ease! Probably could have used the middle torque wrench they have but more power can't go astray!

Can you use this to mix drywall mud? If not what's the recommended tool in Ryobi lineup?

No, you can not use this for mixing mud. The best is a 1/2 CORDED model with a supplementary handle. You could get away with a 18V if there is not much mud in the pail.

What is the claim 7x faster removal speed compared against? Hand removal using breaker bar?

Probably. I've used an air compressor at 90lbs without success on rusted wheel nuts. I've also tried with "X" crossbars as well as reinforced pry bars, and I wasted more time waiting for various lubricants to penetrate in order to facilitate removal. This Ryobi impact tool brought the house down when I showed my sons and their friends how powerful it is. Like any power tool, extreme caution is recommended as nuts and bolts either zip right off or, in worse cases, the bolts snap/break completely off. The tool has variable strengths that you control Hold on tight, the only muscle you'll need will be managing the weight of it. Highly recommended!
