RYOBI introduces the 18V ONE+ Lithium-Ion Cordless 8-inch Oil Free Pole Saw (Tool-Only). This cordless pole saw operates at 6.5 ft. or 9.5 ft. with the extension pole and features an 8-inch bar and chain for trimming away branches up to 6-inch dia. With an in-line motor and angled cutting head, you can remove branches easily, even in tight spaces. This saw features automatic bar and chain oiling for extra convenience. Rated 4 out of 5 by from Does the job but chain needs improvement I needed a few pine and spruce branches pruned around the property. This pole saw fit the bill for length and chain size. The unit works very quickly and cuts quite nice. That being said though, strength is key. With the unit fully extended the saw tends to jump if you don't have enough force pulling down on it. My only issue with it is that after sawing about six branches with a diameter of about 1 to 2 inches, the chain was completely dull. So dull that I've been unsuccessful in my attempts to file it into anything useable. At this point I'm looking at a new chain already so I might be looking aftermarket.

It's literally a mini chainsaw on a stick. I imagine it would be fine. I used it to trim an apple tree and remove some pretty heavy branches on a couple other trees.
