Rated 1 out of 5 by from Bought this hedge trimmer on May 14th and tried it for the first time yesterday. Worked for only 1 minute. Went to Home Depot to exchange it, only to find two other people with exactly the same issue. Because of this I decided to buy and try the one that comes with the battery and charger. Tried it today for 20 minutes with the battery that it came with and worked great. Also tried it with the other battery that I originally had for 20 minutes and it also worked fine. Now the only other problem is that I had to pay a$100. dollar extra that I didn’t want to spend

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Ryobi Hedge Trimmer I love my hedge trimmer. It is so nice to not have to worry about extension cords. I can go anywhere in the yard with this unit. I am using the battery that came with my Ryobi weed eater and it seems to last longer than I do. The unit has lots of power. Only thing I noticed is if you are trimming bushes with tiny branches it does not cut as clean as I would like but I think that is to be expected.

I have the ryobi battery charger that charges 6 batteries but i think i have 18v batteries. Will these work in the 40v hedge trimmer?

Unfortunately our 18V Batteries are only compatible with RYOBI 18V tools and 40V batteries are only compatible with RYOBI 40V tools.
