Rated 1 out of 5 by from Shouldn't be allowed to sell this... Bought this to assist in pulling out dirt from an auger. End of blades taper to come together, thus dirt slides right though the bottom. Feels very very weak when scooping out clay, can't see this lasting one fence project. After 15 minutes, significant play in the bolts attaching to the wooden handles. When you do get some dirt out of the hole, it is about one handful or possibly 2. Absolute garbage and will be returning.

Fortunately, my neighbour lent me his hand auger and we got the holes dug through tje Red River clay of Winnipeg. Home Depot would do well to have to have hand augers in stock rather than the clamshell diggers.
