This bright white LED motion battery operated night light can be used as a stair light, or in your cabinet, hallway, workshop or garage. It has a detecting distance of approximatly 10' (3m). It is complete with a on / off / auto switch. Choosing "auto" the light will sense darkness and will be activated with motion. No tools are required for installation as it has a strong magnet on the back of unit with a magnetic disk with 3M adhesive tape for easy mounting on any smooth surface.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Love It I bought 4 of these a year ago or so and love them for my stairs. You easily peel off the back of the metal piece and stick it to your desired location and it's installed. I do find they're too bright and I would have preferred an amber/yellow light instead near the bedrooms so I don't blind myself every time I go to the bathroom (stairs are beside the bathroom). I have an issue where one of them is now "dying" so the light is only half working, which really shouldn't be happening only a year or two into purchasing it. Otherwise they're fantastic and I do recommend them.

I have been happy with this light until recently. The problem is that the light does not work when placed in the “Auto” mode. The light still works in “On” position. Do you have any suggestions sp this will work? Thank you.

The unit will only work if it's sufficiently dark. The motion sense is only activated in darkness when in auto mode.
