Rated 2 out of 5 by from 3.5 freezer unit I bought this freezer so I had just a bit more storage space. Reading the reviews I was pleased to learn it was Quiet. Unfortunately, it is not. The manual says to expect some noise when it is starting up and occasionally thereafter. However, I am finding the noise comes on regularly and is very loud. In addition, one of the hinge covers was off and will not go back on properly. Sizewise it is adequate.

It's nicely compact (fits great in our apartment), VERY quiet, and a good size for extra storage of frozen foods. We could not be more pleased with this freezer. I suspect the reviewer who noted "I am finding the noise comes on regularly and is very loud." received a lemon. They should look into exchanging their freezer. Personally, I cannot believe how extremely quiet it is. We really never hear it making any noise at all. It's quite close to our living room too, and it never, ever bothers us. A good buy all around!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great size I live in a house so placing a deep freeze was going to be no problem. If i lived in an apartment however, this freezer would also be no problem! It's a great size, could probably fit like 10 babies. Keeps em real cold too. Fantastic.

J'aimerais savoir si ce congélateur est reconnu pour être non bruyant , cette particularité est très importante pour moi et avant de faire l'achat je dois m,assurer qu'il est sans bruit .

We received this freezer and the lid does not close properly. It’s slightly off alignment. Has this happened to anyone? We are returning.

Can I see the technical specifications like type of refrigerant, electrical consumption and wiring diagram, and the K factor of the thermal insulation used?

Hello, Thank you for your question. The DCFM036C1WM uses R600A refrigerant and has and electrical consumption of 189 Kwh per year. The unit uses 50 watts, has 1.3 running amps and 6 starting amps.
