The trigger locked intermittently (NO, the lock button is not engaged). Had to repeatedly align the tool and would suddenly work. Never understood the action that occurred to suddenly make it work, despite carefully engaging and aligning tool on the tongue. Would appreciate any insight, as I have another 400 sq ft. Quick adjustment so shoe fits 1/2" engineered floor profile, but it seemed to slip out of place a bit after repeated use. No misfires and delivered staples cleanly otherwise. Good weight and seems to be a sturdy product.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from 18 gauge floor stapler This tool is NOT 7/32” — it is for 1/4” narrow crown staples. Works pretty good. Misfires now and again (approx <1%). Hold firmly against the tongue or else staple depth will be less consistent. In my opinion, better to be a little deep than not deep enough because if it’s too high, you are a bit screwed. After about 5000 staples, still performs as original condition.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Tool for Engineered Hardwood Floors Works like a dream! The fact that you do not need to oil it is a HUGE bonus (why risk oil over the new wood floors???)... Had a couple of staples stick and land together but this over hundreds of square feet of floors laid. Only downside is that as a first-time air stapler owner... MAKES ME WANT TO BUY MORE!
