Rated 2 out of 5 by from Just barely fits in a 6x6 post The 8" length is the FULL length of the bolt so if you want to use it for a 6x6 posit it will just barely fit. At most you'll be able to be 1 small washer on each side and then only 3 threads on the nut, so double nuts is out of the question. HD should have full dimensional information on this product which they don't. In the time of covid extreme product details is a must.
