The instructions say predrill a 5/16" hole, OMG that is big enough to loose the entire screw into! I think they meant 5\32"...I brought this up to HD, as well as to the store twice, still wrong on the package. Think I even called customer service once. Poor person that drills a honkin' big hole in their baseboard... HD please respond.

I was planning on replacing the old rusty doorstops ... I bought these and proceeded to install them .. The doorstops are pretty, inexpensive and of good quality ... What’s the issue? The spring on this item (in this and other finishes) is flimsy and bends with any little amount of pressure ... they simply don’t work well. Compared with the existing door stops, the new ones are garbage. And yes, I know where and how to install them ... will need to find a thicker, hardier spring ... just my opinion
