Purchased this fireplace on impulse after seeing the display model, plus a bit of prompting from the exceptional Home Depot floor person covering the area. Took the fireplace up to my cabin, unloaded it by myself (not an easy task for an old timer), took the box and packaging off, read the manual only to find out that it needs to be stored during winter in a warm environment, can't be in the rain, snow or adverse weather of any kind. Packaged it back up and am still hurting from trying to lift this thing back on my truck. This unit displayed in the store and the outside of the box need clear instructions with regards to use and storage.

Perfect!We wanted a solid, propane fire table and didn't want to take up too much real estate on the patio with a square or rectangular table so we took a gamble on this. It paid off...we have used it so much already on cooler spring nights. It gives off a nice glowing flame, enough heat to keep warm and is really good looking. It's easy to use...just pop the propane tank underneath. The granite table top is really attractive...much better than glass or aluminum. The stone is real stone veneer (I think). Either way, it looks really classy. My only wish is that you could add a circular granite piece that can fit in the opening so that it acts as a full table when not using the fire feature. But overall...for the price...we were happy!!

The manufacturer responded to a question by saying that this could be put on a wooden deck. After setting it up and was reading the manual, saw that there was a warning saying DO NOT put on wooden decks! I called Bond Manufacturing and the person I spoke with said if i put it on a wooden deck the warranty would be void. Now I'm stuck with trying to figure out how to return this fire pit! Also with the added expense of a propane tank that i don't need now!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not designed for winter/heavy rain outdoor use. Wanted to use this fire pit all year on back wooden deck. No manual found on line. Only thru supplier comments in the reviews does it explain it cannot be left outdoors during bad weather including heavy rain. The unit stone will crack and fall apart. Cancelled online order after looking in many online places for manual. (Not found) No manual is available at the Canadian Home Depot site which would have clarified this and stop me from ordering it in the first place. A similar unit also shows restrictions on placing it close to a wooden fence 4 ft in all directions! My 50K BTU barbecue does not mention such restrictions. These fire pits should have clearer up front limitations without the need to search for information. Good concept poor limitations.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great buy The ease of setting it up only consisted of installing propane tank. Easy start up. Nice range for flame levels. Very nice look. Great size. We bought the extra cover which elastic bottom so extra protection for severe storms as we found out about in previous reviews. It is heavy, so we are not looking forward to moving it into the garage for the winter. I think it would be great if company made an insulated box cover so it could stay outside all winter. But we love it and so happy we bought one.

Some pictures showing drinks on the table with the fire blazing. It's definitely possible but find the glasses get pretty hot (even with flame on half high). I wouldn't necessarily plan on keeping drinks or plates on there for much longer than a few minutes.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from No not purchase. Extremely poor quality. Paid $598 for a fire pit that is extremely poor quality. Only used it three times. Placed on an exposed aggregate concrete patio the bottom rusted out completely. The whole fire pit literally just fell apart. The fire pit was always covered when not in use. The fire pit needs a solid bottom with short legs or lockable rollers to keep it off concrete.

Yes it does, but it’s a rather cheap flimsy plastic material. We are looking for a replacement cover for ours that is peeling, cracked and ratty after only one year.  Need to find one with a 34” diameter top. The fire chat table itself is made of good quality.
