Rated 2 out of 5 by from Very disappointing I bought these blinds two years ago for all my upstairs windows. They were easy to install, and they block out the light. However, fairly soon, they started to hang unevenly, because one side loses its ability to spring back into place. There doesn't seem to be anything I can do about it, either. This has happened on 3 out of the 4 blinds I purchased. They won't hang evenly when fully extended or pushed back up to the top position. They were all custom cut, too, so I can't return them. Not impressed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent blackout blinds The mylar/metalized interior blocks all of the light, so with a tight fit against the frame, these blinds make the room completely dark. We have bought them for four rooms in the past month and are planning on adding them to others. Very unobtrusive when completely opened, the are virtually unnoticed behind the drapes.

I actually found the mounting brackets very easy to install the blinds to click in very easy, I don't know how it could be an easier. Just gently push up and back and they click in like butter. Very easy to remove the blinds if needed as well. As for darkness, these are indeed blackouts. They block out the sun 100% except around the edges of course, which is a problem with any blind. They are lined with 2 layers of foil inside, impossible for sunlight to get through. My guess is the last reviewer bought the nutmeg by accident(I almost did myself). The Sarah and Nutmeg colors are identical but the nutmeg is only light filtering. Very happy with these cordless blackout blinds, very affordable as well. The only issue I had was on the 60" wide size, I pulled it down all the way too fast and had trouble getting it back up to close. Currently, it only goes up about 25% but it was likely my fault for pulling it down to hard. No problem with the other 16 blinds I bought. I'd buy them again for sure, very happy with the purchase.

We put these up in a bedroom where a streetlight shines in all night, and it would always get through our regular blinds and disrupt our sleep. These blinds don't let any of that light in, and they move up and down very smoothly with no effort. Easy to install and we got them cut for free at Home Depot so they would fit our window frame.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great cellular shade My window is bigger than standard size (60x72) and I was glad to see you that Home Depot had this size as I was shopping around and no else had this - with the exception of ordering then as special sizing online, which was more expensive. This was bought during the time all stores required minimal customers inside. So once I received my pick up email, I headed down to my location I selected and lined up to get into the store. They promptly had my order and custom cut them to fit my window. It was quick and the shade is beautiful. When they say blackout, it really is very dark. It took me several days to get used to it as usually I have light filtering but decided to go this new route instead. Really good for keeping out the light. Not sure if the thermal works as I purchased during summer.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Trash mounting brackets Apparently these can come with two types of mounting brackets. The first set I mounted had the top rail of the blinds clip into the steel brackets securely, and without issue. The second set had much more flimsy mounting brackets, and the top rail would not clip in, as the force to engage the clip was greater than the force required to completely bend the brackets. So first set great, second set, absolute trash. Would not wish installing them on my worst enemy.

The hardware looks decent and the operation of the shade seems great (better than those with pull cords). The quality is up there give the price, I think they are of great value. And Home Depot will cut them on the spot within minutes to any shorter length. Once installed and operated and the blackout checked out, I will report more.

Hi - The inside of my window frame measures 22.55" - will the 23" blinds work? I read that they fit windows that measure 22.625" .

If the window is smaller then the blinds, I don’t see how they would fit. Unless you are hanging the blinds outside the frame. We were told by the Home Depot blind staff to leave a 1/4 inch on each side for a 1/2 inch total. So the blinds are very useless as the light comes in each side. We were very disappointed with the advice at Home Depot. I would leave .10” so the blinds can pass freely up and down but no light gets through on the sides. So 22.50-22.45” would be what I would do if I am reading your question properly and you plan to hang them inside the window frame.if you are hanging them outside the window frame then the measurements you stated should be okay.

what is the exact width measurement of the 27" blinds?

We will take a deduction of 1/2". Therefore when you roder 27" W, the actual size of the shade will be 26.5".

Can they be cut to 46" or 46 1/2". these are ceiling mounting and blind on frame service

Yes the Home Depot store you buy them from will have a cutter specifically for that and in my experience they have provided an excellent service. Take the window frame measurements with you and they will cut off the appropriate amount. Big hint: don’t just take a measurement at the top of the opening but measure top, bottom and in the middle just in case the frame isn’t true!

My window is 35.5" W x 35" L. I know the Width can be reduced, but can this blind also be reduced in Length? Thanks

why are there no handles or grips on bottom of shade to pull the shade down so it will rest on the sill of the window or to be able to lift bottom of shade up. It is very inconvenient. Can't even buy after market ones.

Good morning. We have these same blinds. Pulling the bottom away from the window sill, then pulling down beyond the sill slightly, then pushing up just enough to sit in and on the sill does the trick.

I see these can be 'custom cut' in store. The largest size it shows online is 60 inches. Can they be larger than that? For example one window I need them for is 74.5 wide by 77 height.

For a 48" L curtain, is 48" the full length including the top and bottom pieces? Or is 48" the length of the cellular portion only. I have a 51" opening so I'm curious if a 48 is strict or if there is some leeway.
