They are easy to install and even though the material doesn feel high end, they don't bounce or feel cheap when using them. I used hook rings to hang the curtains and they glide nicely. I'm really happy with these!

Can I mount this product on the ceiling instead of on the wall?

Hi Kelly, Yes. This French Pipe rod set can be ceiling mounted. But generally this type of mount is not acceptable by customers as it impacts the curtain light filtering/blackout ability due to being ceiling mounted. Please consider.

What is the maximum recommended weight please? I have very heavy room darkening curtains to help stop transfer of temperature and am concerned about bowing in the middle of the rod. Thank you!

Hi Heather, We understand your concern. As you may know for the 36”-66” French Pipe Rod Set there are only two end brackets. For 60”-120” and 120”-170”, include an extra middle bracket for support. In general, when using 2 end brackets we recommend max. 20 lbs. (@ 10 kg.) and with 3 brackets max 33 Lbs. (@15kg) total weight limits; this is when properly installed in the correct positions, under normal conditions, and with properly secured anchors and screws. You may exceed these limits slightly if you have good strong material you are installing the brackets into, but these are our general recommendations for your reference. Good luck.

Can this rod be used as a coat rack if a middle support is installed?

Hi Barb, although it is not designed as a coat rack it can be used as you will but the main point is to stay within the weight-bearing limits. When using 2 end brackets (36”-66”) we recommend max. 20 lbs. (@ 10 kg.) and with 3 brackets (66”-120”) max. 33 Lbs. (@15kg) total weight limits; this is when properly installed in the correct positions, under normal conditions, and with properly secured anchors and screws. You may exceed these limits slightly if you have good strong material you are installing the brackets into, but these are our general recommendations for your reference.

where are the drilling templates found

How strong is this? What's the weight it can hold up to?

First of all, we always suggest using the middle support bracket when provided which gives needed support to the rod set. Especially, with using the heavier rod sets these center-support brackets are quite needed. However that being said; generally, when using 2 end brackets we recommend max. 20 lbs. (@ 10 kg.) and with 3 brackets max 33 lbs. (@15kg) for total weight limits; this is when properly installed in the correct positions, under normal conditions, and with properly secured anchors and screws.
