Every piece meets the highest grading standards for strength and appearance. Eastern White Pine Premium boards have a wide range of uses from framing of houses to basic interior finishing applications. Boards can also be used for carpentry, hobbies, furniture, shelving, and general finish work. The wood has straight grain and has uniform texture. It has low shrinkage and is worked very easily by hand and machine tools. The product is easy to glue and has good nailing and screw holding properties. The paint retention properties are good and it is fairly easily treated with preservatives.

I was anticipating that this little blond “let’s give it a try” acquisition would resemble every other “piece of ash” I’ve taken out to dress up and show off ...that it would be overly stiff with me and my close friends with an unfinished attitude and resistant to bend to my deepest needs. Instead, once I took it out, I found this new arrival to be fun and pleasantly “pining” for hands-on attention. Best of all, it was terribly but seductively “knotty” as its reputation implied. Would highly recommend to the adventurous souls within each of us looking to build some exciting memories. We are now inseparable!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Quality 1x4x8 knotty pine The last batch of 2” x 4” were not usable & employee agreed & I would have to wait for another shipment. The store only had 3 pieces on hand. The other shipment had only 10 pieces on hand & again I had difficulty getting straight lumber. I ended up with 2 straight & 1 slightly twisted.

Hi! I’m considering using only this to make a very simple woven daybed. 4 sides, 4 legs, 12x24x72 inches. How much weight could one of the longer beams carry before breaking?

I am looking at using this for parrot chew toys as pine is safe as long as not treated with any chemicals. Is this fully pesticide and chemical treatment free?
