Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great all around meter. It's probably the perfect all around meter for people who work around electricity. Practicality with its clamp, rubber grips, backlit screen, along with Klein engineering durability, it's the perfect all arounder. Now, with that being said, you can pick this up for significantly cheaper online... I'm actually rather shocked at the price difference to be honest (I won't say where.) But you can get it for about $90 delivered to your door with a simple google search vs the $150 at HD... Nonetheless, it's a great meter. My only recommendation is to consider upgrading the leads, but that is really a personal preference thing.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent value and capability First thing is first, this meter is clearly a rebranded UEI meter. Which isn't a bad thing, UEI makes a good meter and their partnership with Klein has given them a good head start on a pretty competitive market. I"ve been using the CL1000 meter for about 3 months now in the HVAC trade and around the house. I have to admit that I wasn't sure about whether it would be able to hold up to my expectations. (I've used fluke and extech meters in the past) So far, i've found it is an excellent product that has alot of capability. The size of the meter is perfect, not too large or too small. The screen isn't super crisp but it has large digits and the bar graph is a nice touch. The test lead wires are not long, but that hasn't hindered me at all, the smaller finger guards are excellent and the strain relief on the wires is decent. I've tried all of the capabilities and compared a number of them to my fluke 324-- the Klein has not let me down. Add in the magnet on the back of the meter and the test probe holder it is built for use in the field and has found a permanent spot in my tool bag.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Great design but the case I will be returning my meter, as I want the top model, and the zipper on the case just broke, 1 month after I bought it and maybe close the case 3 times! Ironically I was going to write a review on the case design before the zipper failed. The sizzer should be a two-sided one, as any electrician will want to just slip in from the end and not zipper it up every time they use it. Klein designer is obviously not a Maintenance Electrician. Fluke knows how to make the case, but they cast a lot more money. The cost to put a two-sided zipper of higher quality is not much. Klein needs to get a new R&D Director

I bought this meter this month and discovered it was a lemon the first time using it… The first thing I did, of course, was to check the meter and leads with the audible continuity function… no sound. The speaker works - it beeps turning it on. Leads are good - tested in another CL600. Known good leads don’t work. Other functions either did not work, or gave wildly inaccurate results.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great value for the $$ Bought the CL600 yesterday. I am very impressed with this meters feel and quality. Used it first thing to test a couple circuits as well as a continuity test. Works excellent. Great value for the cost. A similar Fluke would easily be 2-3x the cost. I have always been impressed with Klein tools and even more so now.
