Rated 5 out of 5 by from very satisfied we just moved into our new home build and did a DIY install throughout, except bathrooms. The house is on a slab so levelling was a bit of an issue. Once we got past that issue the installation began. For the most part it was quite easy to install. The first row along the starting wall is a bit difficult, but once you get the second row clicked in, it's pretty much smooth sailing. As for comfort, it's on a cement floor so you should expect to have something on your feet for the ultimate comfort. The look is absolutely beautiful. The cost was very reasonable. Overall, we are very satisfied with this purchase.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Not just a vinyl plank This isn't your typical vinyl plank. This has tons of features. This product does not require a vapor barrier or underlayment. Actually use of underlayment voids the limited lifetime warranty. Each plank has a pre-attached sound mitigating ISO-Core pad. These planks are approved for radiant heat which is perfect for my application as I will be installing heated flooring in my basement. I like the light colored edges as it adds an elegant touch once everything is laid out. Perfect for area with gold fixtures/hardware.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great product I installed 1200 sq feet of this product. It looks fantastic and gets lots of compliments. It is definitively on the “premium” side of vinyl plank product, at an affordable cost. Also very easy to keep clean. Installing flooring is hard work! Get good knee pads. The product does not simply click together. It requires substantially force to get the seams to lock in. You will need a rubber mallet, tapping block, and pull bar. Tapping block and pull bar are sold as a kit along with spacer wedges for gapping around the perimeter. That said, when it clicks together the seam disappears and looks great. You will get the hang of it after a few boards. A caveat is that the distribution of the board patterns is not randomized very well. You will get some boxes that have mostly the same patterned board. Make sure to open several boxes and mix up the boards to ensure a random look. Being an obsessive sort of guy I opened several boxes, sorted the boards, and created stacks of boards of the same pattern. I then consciously selected boards to avoid repetition. I will be choosing this product again for another section of my house slated for a facelift.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great product! Bought and installed it last weekend. Love it !! It’s only been a week so I cannot really comment on durability, but i can say it’s way better then laminate. We paid more for LVP but it was worth it. The photos don’t really do it justice (although the first one is closer to the actual colour). I would say it has a tad more grey in it, but it still has a nice brown hue. A good balance of brownish grey. We are very happy.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Warranty is awful Warranty denied. Scratches on scratch resistant floor. Fine print says scratches and scuffs not covered. We bought this floor for kids and a dog but before installation was done a subwoofer scratched across 4 planks. Warranty said no sharp objects on floor, trim dog nails, cushions under all furniture. Basically warranty will not cover anything after its out of the box. Waste of 4 grand. Limited lifetime warranty is limited alright.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Looks great Bought this to install in my basement, was a little worried about the recommended floor tolerance because we have and old house with an uneven slab. It followed the floor variations very well but I had to use a tapping block made from an off cut to get the joints together, didn’t not simply click together as it may have on a flatter floor. Biggest complaint would be that there was only 4 different patterns in the planks which made it difficult to layout with staggering patterns.

I have used life proof vinyl flooring in the past, and I’ve shared some recent pictures of a bathroom renovation I am mid project on. It is super easy to install, the seams fit tightly together, and the product itself is virtually bombproof. I tried to take some pictures to show you the profile edges of the planking and how they fit together. Hopefully you find it helpful. Overall, I would not hesitate to buy this product again anytime.

We were a bit skeptical to use this in the kitchen but we were assured that this is a newer vinyl and is water proof and more durable than laminate flooring or the other vinyls. We are glad we listened because it turned out great! It gave our home a modern look and clean up is really easy.

We are considering this flooring for our basement. We don't normally have any water issues, however for subgrade installation should a separate underlayment be used? Right now our floor is concrete no subfloor.

we laid this flooring directly onto concrete on the ground level floor in our house and did not use anything underneath. We removed carpet and underlay and had some concern about it being too cold but a year later that has never been an issue. The concrete was in mostly good condition and was level, it just needed some patching around the edges where the carpet nailing strip had been. Overall an excellent product and easy to install. No regrets in our decision to purchase, it looks great.

Some have said this flooring will show wear and marks. I have a large dog. Is this durable if you have pets?

Thanks for your question. Lifeproof planks are scratch resistant but not scratch proof. With reasonable care (furniture protectors, keeping the dog's nails trimmed, etc), the floor will not show abnormal wear.

I am planning to install luxury vinyl plank in my basement on the concrete slab. Do I need an underlay and if so can you recommend one?

This product is nice, but be sure your concrete is very level as the locking system separates easily and movement will cause gaps. Also keep checking all planks as you move forward as they come apart easily. My basement is dry and I did not use an underlayment. No issues. Also very difficult to cut with knife.

100% Pet Friendly? We have a large dog who tends to slip and slide on most vinyl floors. Is this flooring pet-friendly?

Thanks for your question. The Lifeproof planks are waterproof. Water will not cause them to swell, buckle, delaminate, etc. They're perfect for use in any interior room of your home. As long as water is cleaned up in a timely manner, it won't seep through the seams.
