Create a sophisticated bathroom space with unparalleled ease and speed. Utile by MAAX is an innovative shower walls solution, available in a range of rich colors, deep textures and stylish patterns that look and feel like tile. Why is Utile superior to tile? Starting with purchase and installation: with tile, several other materials are required and a professional must complete the 3 days installation. Alternatively, Utile walls do not require the purchase of other materials except silicone, and a few tools if not already in hand. They are fixed directly on the studs, in 1 day and do not require hiring an expert! As for the long run: tile is a sturdy material, however grout requires regular care and maintenance to keep its look and integrity long term. Utile walls, on the other hand, have realistic and carefree faux grout lines that will not crack!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good Product but instructions could be better Installed this door over 2 days (to allow time for some of the silicone caulk to cure, as it holds things in place). The instructions were like trying to read the Dead Sea Scrolls, covering installation of 3 different models - all jumbled together. Useful tips: Center the door guide (part no. 4) on the lip of the tub and then use its position to figure out where the fixed panel will be mounted to the wall. Also , steps 5 and 6 should be reversed, since it will be nearly impossible to drill the holes required in step 6 after the fixed panel has been installed in step 5. The installed door works great and looks very classy. If only the manufacturer could make installation easier by providing instructions specifically for the tub model.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Great quality product but hideous instructions Love the quality but you may as well not look at the instructions. ...they are more confusing than informative. You will need above average skills to properly install this product. It took me 6 hours because I followed the instructions. .would have taken less if I just did it without. Very disappointed that for such an expensive door they used generalized instructions which apply to over the tub..or no tub..or angled..instead of separate instructions for each. Otherwise very nice quality and look.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Halo Big Roller Shower & Tub Doors Review Love the Halo Big Roller System. The are pretty easy to install althought I would NOT recommend a Homeowner or DIY'er to attempt them. Excellent funtionality, gteat resilience in terms of finish and the new coating definatrly helps withthe prevention of water spots. Thick glass makes the heft of the doors feel very high quality. I am a GC and have no installed 6 sets of these doors on tubs & showers and have never come across a missing part or poorly made component. Highly recommend as a cost effective alternative to custom glass where the situation allows.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautiful Surround We couldn't be happier with this tub surround! The install direct to stud was incredibly easy with just my husband and son in law, neither of which are ahandyman or in the trades! Everything slid in beautifully. I was concerned because we live in a 65-year-old house but it installed over our super soaker tub like a dream. I think the biggest help was a YouTube video in which we watched someone install the exact surround. There were a lot of helpful hints that came in very handy. I'm super happy this was trouble free unlike the unexpected $1,300 plumber bill! I would definitely recommend this product and wouldn't hesitate to buy again. It looks amazing!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good Value and quality- instructions are mediocre Looks good, the hardware moves very smoothly and overall decent quality for the price. However some issues with missing steps in the instructions. Also the instructions are for all models which at times can be confusing. Go to the manufactures websites for additional instructions. I would suggest you'd need to be above average for mechanical and handy-man knowledge.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very sturdy. I like the way it locks together I like the way it mounts directly to the studs. Easy to cut out for the window.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good Quality Good Quality, but geez was it hard to install... This mixed with the Bosca bath also from MAAX. We dry fitted at least 10 times before putting silicone, once we installed.. something was off. The 2 end walls popped out from the side of that bath at least a 1/4 inch. We took a break for the next day and restarted again from the bath up. We pryed the walls with wood and pushed them in so they were snug. Another thing.. if you can't get the center wall grout to line up with the left and right wall, relevel your bath under the center wall. It'll fit good afterwards. ***NOTE TO FUTURE BUYERS*** If the bottom of the large center wall flexes , add a 1(thick)x3(large)x5(long) shim to the studs and screw the shim in the stud.. When you install the wall, do a big bead of silicone on it so it sticks good. That really made the wall solid, we could knock on it with our fist and it does not budge.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Soaker Tub Comfortable tub. The only downfall is that the wall side edge is a bit too narrow. There isn’t enough of a ledge for a good grip when getting up and out of the tub. Unless you have built in soap and shampoo dispensers the ledges aren’t big enough to place them on.

Can you install these doors into an acrylic tub surround?

Asked by: GIGI
This depends on the model dimensions of your tub surround. Please check threshold width vs requirements of the Halo and interior width (wall to wall). If there is anything that we can do to assist you or answer any questions, please do not hesitate to reach out to the MAAX Team at 877-438-6229 (Option 2) between 8am-5pm EST, Monday-Friday. A product expert would be happy to assist you. Thank you for choosing MAAX!

Can all tub surround kits work with this tub model?

Asked by: Yotee
Yes surround kits would work on this tub. Wall side of the tub is not very wide so if you use regular tiles there is not much for you to grab when getting up out of the tub. It’s a comfortable tub but if you are a larger person consider a different tub as inside is not very roomy.

I have shower\tub and do not want a wall on the one side. Can you install just the side and back wall, leaving the other side exposed?

Asked by: jstrembi
The do have ‘corner shower’ units available. I seriously do not recommend this product. We won’t install them anymore as we feel they are a poor product.  I would highly suggest going with aqua-board, Kerdi membrane and tile. I think people look at this product and think they’ll never have to caulk again (which is false, they need caulking) and also people worry about grout. If you use epoxy grout you’ll never have to seal your grout and it won’t stain. As a contractor that has renovated over 50 bathrooms, as stated before, I would never use this product again.

Can you please explain the difference between the New Town 6030, 6032 and the 60321FS. The all look the same to me but varying prices. Does the overflow cover and drain stopper come with the tub?

Can this be installed on a wall with a window? Our bathtub area has a window of about 2ftx4ft on the back wall.

Asked by: Elsie
I wouldn't think so.....the kit is 3 solid walls to go within your tub enclosure.  You'd have to cut a hole the size of your window in one of the walls.

I have a window in my Shower Area. Can this material be cut easily to accommodate a window

Asked by: Gregger
It is a fibre glass material and can be cut with a fine saw blade not sure how easily it would be to seal the area by the window as it is inset and not flush mounted

Will this fit with the maax nomad?! I don’t see it listed above but the nomad says it fits all utile but wanted to double check

Asked by: Domo
I don’t see why it wouldn’t fit with any tub.  We did not use that tub but I don’t see any tub not working really.  I think it would be fine.

When the item is described as Frameless - what does that mean, no frame on the bottom ?

Asked by: Jawahar
I guess it depends on what you mean by frameless. The moving door hangs and rolls from an upper bar. The stationary door is attached on the vertical side to a metal channel which is fastened to the wall/ The bottom is siliconed to the tub. On the moving door side there is simply a small metal piece, which I suspect is to help to keep water on the inside. The right hand vertical side is a small metal channel which supports the upper rail on which the door rolls. Hard to describe, but I hope this helps.
