Rated 3 out of 5 by from Great for home owners Great for home owners and diy'ers but not for pros or hobbiests due the fact the batterys are small and get drained quickly when put under heavy use and the drill is under powered. The impact driver is perfect though, paired with a 4 amp battery its up to any task. But the drill is lacking. It might have just gottrn a lemon but i needed to drill many holes but with a 1 inch bit, the batteries cept dieing after 3-5 holes, eventually the drills shut off and started smoking. So the impact driver is perfect for most people from home owners to pros but the batteries and drill are perfect for moderate use but not all day work.

So I decided to buy a good quality drill/driver, and I am glad I picked Makita. I tried both Milwaukee and Makita and decide to pick the Makita over the Milwaukee. The reason is the battery in the Makita last better and charge quicker. The Makita drill/driver also give more torque and feel better in term of build quality. Great product for the price.

Yes 1.5 amp batteries only run 15 min of heavy work, but it's more time than we need. We got a good deal with extra 1.5 amp battery included in our combo.

Contractor's bag is pretty solid. 1.5a batteries charge in under 1/2 hr. Can't say enough - Makita just makes great quality tools!

I can't seem to find any info as to which size socket is needed for impact 1/2 inch 3/4 anyone know ?!

The impact does not have either. It only accepts hex shank bits. You can buy a 1/2 inc or 3/4 inch impact adaptor that fits in the hex shaft.

It seems it was a temporary promo for a third battery. If you buy this during the promo u can buy it in store and the cashier will provide the coupon code for you. The promo was not advertised in store FYI so check online to see if one exists at the time the extra battery promo comes and goes througout the year.
