Rated 2 out of 5 by from Beautiful once you modify it Ok...so the arm has a spot for a piece of 2x4 to slide into it so the mailbox is actually secured to more than plastic...thought based on product details it was actually in the arm to begin with...nope. No problem-purchased one and cut it down however...once it’s in the allotted channel...it seems that all of the bottom mounting mailboxes actually mount on either side of the 2x4’s channel. We cut the opening at the back A little wider and used plywood. Now...putting the sleeve onto the 4x4 post...even though it secures in one spot...there’s still a lot of wiggle room with the sleeve being so much wider-we added a piece of wood to the post at the bottom and secured it in. Once you McGyver it a little it looks fabulous but based on reviews that report similar issues from past years it looks like the manufacturer hasn’t done anything to make changes ...just a ‘thank you for letting us know’.
