It came with a years supply of Swash Laundry Detergent which is dispensed in premeasured amounts. After months of frustration, whites marks on my darks & dirt marks on my lights & well things just don’t smell clean. I called Maytag& a service tech came & said that I have to use half the soap (1teaspoon) & always use the “Deep Fill” option on the machine. What a load of crap. The ONLY thing this machine can do is make your wallet lighter & filter dog hair. I feel like my clothes would be cleaner washing them in a toilet. MAYTAG DOES NOT CARE. D

Rated 1 out of 5 by from DO NOT BUY THIS - BUY ANOTHER UNIT This unit does NOT work as advertised. We have two dogs and the clothes come out WORSE then when they went in, in regards to dog hair. We paid over $2,000 for this combo set w the dryer and the fact that it doesn't work anywhere close to as advertised is super disappointing. Also, the washer will leave a white residue on dark colored clothes. We have tried different settings, different water temps, and nothing. We have gone through multiple brands of detergent, and nothing. It has actually ruined hundreds of dollars of clothes were we cannot get this residue to come out. After speaking w a rep from MAYTAG, they acknowledge that the washer can leave a residue. In fact, she interrupted me as I was explaining this to her, as its a known issue. 1,000,000% I would NOT recommend this washer OR dryer. It will NOT reduce the dog hair on your clothes, towels or bedding. Buy anything else other than this combo IMO. There is a design flaw in this, steer clear of this item in all regards.

Delivery service and text messaging along with verified caller for en route was great. This is our 2nd washer in less than 3 years. ** Do Not buy the GE washer GTW460BMMWW 👎. Purchased extended warranty with HD protection plan and up graded machine. Made in USA. This machine is much quieter. Window view is helpful to monitor loads. Drum is big. Hoping the pet pro will be successful. Generally Im pleased … I do not want to be back to write a negative review. But it is so true, no matter what we buy these days … They do NOT make them like they use to and that is a fact!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Loud, poor quality, pet pro is a gimmick Bought this about a month ago. Gave a chance to settle in. Cleans clothes o well enough. That being said, this washing machine is incredibly LOUD. The tumbler looks unbalanced (despite the washer being level and installed by professionals). The tumbler bangs against the walls of the washer. It sometimes vibrates a it. This happens with small and large loads, despite me making sure the clothes are evenly distributed. Would not recommend this product to a friend. Keeping to avoid the hassle, but concerned this poor quality product will break down in less than 5 years. The pet pro feature seems to be a gimmick. I have a n Aussie and there is little to no hair in the filter after each wash.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The Pet Pro System is not a gimmick. It works. I love this washer. If you're contemplating a purchase, I'll let you know - the Pet Pro System really does work. We've got a long haired black cat, a wire haired dog and another dog with long white fur. When the load is done, I empty a lot of hair from the screen. We have much, much less hair in the dryer screen than our other washer/dryer set and almost no hair on our clothes when they come out of the dryer. At least until we put them on and go downstairs.

Any dark clothes continuously come out with white reside on them. We have tried everything from reducing to the lowest amount of detergent, with and without fabric softener, deep fill and pet cycles. None of these have solved the issue. Such a disappointment as much of our clothing is dark. Faster to hand wash everything then try and clean the lint:white residue off each item. Finally, I find it collects very little pet hair. Definitely not worth it and regret this expensive purchase.

I was tremendously disappointed that I had to wash everything again, a second time. I have since done additional dark loads, and the problem persists. I'm not using too much detergent, and I'm not overfilling. Doubling my efforts when washing dark clothing is not something I signed up for, and I will be looking at returning this washer. I really really wanted to love it .... Sigh. I hope someone can make this right.

The lid would lock - hold down start and it just jumped to "done". NOT IMPRESSED. Technician came out within a couple days - it's a wiring issue. He temporarily fixed it - I got two loads in and it stopped working again. Waiting on a part from another city. Major inconvenience from a brand new machine.

I am a single person, so my loads are not as full as a family or couple. I read in the previous comments that in order for the pet filter to work you have to use the deep ill option. Is this true? That would be a real waste of water for someone like me

How long is a normal cycle?

All of our cycles are auto sensing, so it depends on the type of fabric, amount of fabric, soil level of fabric and any options selected. They usually take at least an hour. Due to energy regulations, you can expect newer washers to take longer as these machines use less water but take more time to get the same cleaning results as older machines.
