Are these rails compatible for use with a raised toilet seat?  I have these rails and love them, but now I need a raised seat for hip surgery and am hoping I can continue to use them with a raised seat.

doe installation require the removal of the toilet seat or does it just rest on the back of the toilet?

Remove toilet seat. This attachment fits under seat. Make sure the tank and bowl are about 90 degrees to each other. If bowl curves up to meet tank this item won't fit.
