Rated 1 out of 5 by from PHL 574897, I bought dimmable bulb, this bulb only last less than 3 months at a time, flickers starts just after 1 month. As it should last 15 years, only lasts 2.5 months. I have used 3 bulb at a time, nearly all of them have same results.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Premature failure Flickering and dying prematurely. I have had six bulbs installed in my light fixture and the first is starting to die in less than a month's use. The bulbs were on a light circuit without a dimmer. It is not the switch. Just poor quality product from Philips.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Unreliable bulbs that will turn dim over time I have bought a total of 9 of these bulbs, and they have all failed within a month. Their ability to dim from a brighter white at full brightness to a softer amber color at low brightness becomes broken. The lights stop lighting up to full brightness and white color. Now they only light up at the soft amber color, and do so very dimly. I thought I got a bad batch, but i've since bought some months later which also quickly failed. I'm very disappointed in Philips, because usually they make good quality products.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great bulb! Look and feel of incandescent but LED Many of the newer LED bulbs have these odd looking plastic domes and solid coloured bases (above the screw). This bulb has a glass-like case - perfect for lights that show the bulb. It also has a much nicer dimming capability - the light gets warmer in tone when you dim, versus the harder colour dimming of other LED bulbs. Perfect for dining rooms or settings where you want the proper mood lighting. A19 bulb with and E26 standard medium base

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Almost Perfect! These are by far the best dimmable LED bulbs I've tried, but still not entirely perfect. I compared one to an incandescent in the same fixture, and Philips did an amazing job with the warming of the color. At fully dimmed, it was identical to the incandescent bulb I left in the fixture for comparison, really incredible. However, the dimming is no longer linear, so you can't mix with regular bulbs and get the same brightness through the dimming range. With these LEDs most of the dimming occurs in the top 1/3 of the slider of my Leviton dimmer, the next 3rd does pretty much nothing and then there is another noticeable drop in light output when fully dimmed. There is a slight delay before it dims as well. It's not really a problem, but there is room for improvement in the calibration. I also tested one in my nightstand touch lamp, and it only put out a dim light, with very minor level changes between the 3 settings. In fact, the brightest setting of the lamp was the dimmest of the bulb. Not sure when anyone will make an LED compatible with a touch lamp, but they aren't on enough to worry about it, until they stop making filament bulbs. Lastly, there is a very slight audible buzzing from these when you first dim them. It seems to less as they warm up, but if you really listen for it, you can hear it. Not enough to bother me, but if it's going to be close to your head, like a nightstand, it could be a problem.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Product The Philips Ultra Definition LED 60W A19 MedBase Soft White Warm Glow Glass Frosted light bulb was easy to install, of course and it works perfectly for where it is needed in my home. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent bulb I received this bulb and first thing I noticed right from the box is it feels and looks exactly like an old incandescent bulb. Then when it's in use it's the exact same colour and softness of an incandescent bulb. Very nice in a fixture where the bulb is visible and you need a soft light. It touts a 15000 hour lifespan and only consumes 9 watts of energy as opposed to the 60 watts an incandescent would use, very good buy.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from I just tried one. Had the opportunity to try the Phillips A19 medium base ultra definition bulb. It does give a sunlight quality to the light just like the packaging says. But I would say to get the proper desired full effect you would need to change all the bulbs in the room. One bulb with other regular bulbs in the room just does not cut it. Price point is good an the lifespan is suppose to be 15000 hours. Let see :)
