This is light filtering, not a total block, but I am using curtain panels in combo with it, which help block the filtered light. The price was also very fair compared to other stores online.

If they needed to be cut, Home Depot store does not have the proper cutter for these specific blinds. Easy to install. Look great

Can these blinds be mounted outside the window as well? My window is 22" wide inside.

Yes you can outside mount the shade. For outside mount we recommend ordering a half inch size smaller. Outside mount installation for a 22 inch sized window, you would order a 22.5 inch width size. Please note the sizes listed include a half inch deductions. A 23 inch width (actual size 22.5 inch) will outside mount fit your window.

Do these blinds hang from brackets at the top, or on the side of window casing. I’m looking at an inside mount and it’s more than 28 but a bit less than 28 1/4. Thanks,

Not folding up properly, all bunched up, is there a fix for this? Also does the fabric around the pull string in back stay on?

The shade does bunch up when rolled up and the only way to avoid this is to roll the shade all the way down. The strings behind the shade are part of the essential operating mechanism and must not be removed.
