Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome System A+++ Customer Service!!! We installed this railing system up at the cottage. It is a combination of pickets and glass. So thrilled that there is a non obstructed view of the lake. Last summer we had a new metal roof installed and this spring we had some damage from the snow coming off the roof. I contacted Peak Railblazers Customer service and they were amazing with there quick response and also the replacement of one part that isn't available in the store anymore as they changed the bracket. I would highly recommend this product as the company stands behind their product. We are looking forward to replacing the railing system at home and would definitely be considering this as an option.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautiful view This glass just drops into the slots on the deck rail framing. Looks great - we could'nt be more pleased. Easy installation. A professional company quoted upwards of $145/ linear foot installed. Nice , but I did the job easily at less than 1/3 the cost with 6 hours of easy work ( not too fast a worker)

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Bad Quality Control Assembling this I ran into problems with the top rail. The holes that are pre drilled are too close to the slide cover rail. So when you drill in the provided pan head screws the screw head goes into the grooves of the slide cover. Once that happens you can not put on the slide cover... Closer inspection shows that the holes are the correct distance away from the slide cover grooves on one end and too close on the other. I have another one still in the package, so I will have to inspect it before I spend the time setting up and get half way into the install. Time well wasted.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not 42 inches Home Depot, update the specifications on this please. The panel under specifications says 66 by 42, it is not. it is 66 by 36 5/16. The 42 is for a finished rail panel with parts additional to this, which would also change the width when installed so why list one as is dimension and one as installed dimension? Misleading at best

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Looks fantatstic!!! I love the product, I looks real nice when it is finished. The only down side of the product is they get you for cost on everything. Everything is sold separate, if you buy the posts you need to buy the base cover, if you buy the glass you need to buy the glass seal. Things like these go hand in hand and don't work with out the other. just another added cost, should be packaged together

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Will not work with most staircases I used this railing system for my new deck, but now that I am building a staircase I am in trouble. The longest length is 6 ft and I need 12 feet of railing since it is illegal to require the hand to be lifted from the handrail to go over a post to grab the handrail again. Their continuous handrail kit is also not an option. It does not have pickets. So you have to build a complete staircase railing system from somewhere else and then screw on this additional handrail beside it. It looks silly. Any deck height that is more than about 3-4 feet will not work with Peak Products staircase railing system.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from after five years, as good as new read about the glass being a bird killer... I had maybe two in five years! My home windows are worse. The glass need a minimum of cleaning (about once a year) but expected worse. the railings are sturdy and the installation was a breeze. I enjoy the frost showing in them and the gap between the panels. A neighbor has the full glass and he prefers the look of my 6" panels... so do I.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Pickets rattle, instructions antiquated The end result was ok, but I have two areas of feedback: 1) It took much longer than expected. The instructions appear vey clear but failed to identify which brackets went where. Further instructions were laid out in steps A, B, C etc. Some of the brackets were labeled A, B, C, but these things did not correlate to the steps. Cutting the railing was a bit more challenging than I expected with a hacksaw. Took a while to make the 4 cuts and to ensure the angles were correct 2) I think as someone else mentioned, the pickets rattle when you walk on the deck.

Used planner to do design, have purchased materials as recommended. Only question is do I need any screws or anchors or do they come with the variety of components bought?

Asked by: marie
Mine came with 6" heavy duty construction screws. So you need a solid substructure to attach them to.

Is this kit suppose to include the rails? Sales associate said no they are sold separate but the description states that rails are included.

Asked by: Louise
No you have to purchase everything separately.

We are considering the RailBlazer for our new deck. We have an area that the deck is butted up against the pool. Would you recommend the glass railing for beside a pool?

Asked by: amy007
I had a similar situation. I screwed down the posts as close to the pool as possible, using extender bits and cardboard between my pool and drill so I would not damage it. It all worked out very nicely. Using the glass panels or pickets is really an aesthetic thing. I have both because we had some sections of railings that was too short to use the glass panels. Honestly, the Railblazer is pretty easy to install, as long as you have all the necessary tools. And installing the glass panels IS a two person job. Good luck!

How do this system hold up in potentially windy areas? Is there a certain wind rating guarantee with this system?

Asked by: canada2020
I have to say how pleasantly surprised we are with the durability and clarity this system has brought to our backyard. In our rugged Canadian climate, in two years since installing, the glass and framing has endured wind gusts up to 100km along with much erratic snow and sleet during the winter months. Besides the obvious opening up of the view in our backyard, the glass and frames are still as good as new requiring little to no cleaning in the spring each year. Ideal for mature families who enjoy prolonged outdoor views.

2 pieces of thick cardboard stapled together. Nothing strong but secure enough on its own.

I made my 4 by 4 support posts as my railing supports. will this kit work with wood supports?

Asked by: Ben87
It would work BUT you will need to purchase the brackets that would need to be attached to the 4 x 4s. Good luck
