The RIDGID 8 Amp 5 in. Fiber Cement Circular Saw is ideal for cutting fiber cement board and making bevel cuts of up to 45 degrees. The heavy-duty, 8 Amp motor delivers up to 9,250 RPM to help you make cuts quickly and with ease. The saw features AirGuard technology, an onboard active dust-collection system that removes up to 90% of fiber cement dust to help reduce the risk of inhaling dust particles.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Sad times for team orange. Another dead Ridgid product... Another great Ridgid product... but seeing as how Ridgid gives their products zero chance of finding market success, they hit the market one month, then are gone forever by the next. The LSA isn't worth much if there's no tools to replace the broken ones, and this is yet another example of exactly that... well, that and the fact that the LSA is becoming increasingly worthless wholesale. I've love Ridgid for a long time, and have used them exclusively over the last 20+ years... but they're making it very hard to keep that going. Dwindling selection, newest line of brushless performing worse in ALL ways over the last few lines... with even Gen3 tools surpassing the new stuff with ease. Then there's the minimal selection of new tools in general... it's just not looking good at all for team orange. With TTI / Emmerson focusing HARD on green these days, and pretty decently on red as well... orange is just being left to die it seems.

Does this saw cut 3/4 inch granite?

I am talking about the Ridgid Fibre cement saw. Is this saw capablew of cutting granite when using a 5 inch diamond blade? Can you use a 4 1/2 inch blade in this saw too? Do you sell 5 inch diamond blades to go with the saw?

Only if you put a diamond balde in it, but you would also need water or cutting oil and this saw is NOT a wet saw.

can it be used for cutting plywood and wallboard?

I am looking for a lightweight corded saw for cutting plywood and wallboard. Is there wood cutting blades available for this saw?

If you can find them then yes you can cut these materials. Please pay attention to the RPM of the saw (its on the units label), and the blade you are purchasing. Make sure the blade has more rpm than the saw.
