Rated 1 out of 5 by from Lasted for 2 years I bought this on 2019 and surprisingly I found out that I have to pay for the plan ($50/year) in order to keep using its feature. Worked good for the first year and I was able to watch it on all devices of my family. second year, we've been forced to update the app on our cell phones, but it allowed only 2 phones to use it!! We kept using it and paid for the second year when plan renewal came. yesterday I noticed there is low battery icon although my ring is hard wired. I'm not sure if I battery/ device needs to be replaced? I tried to charge it using the usb cable, but it didn't charge. I don't think I will renew it or pay for another device. Installing surveillance system will be more efficient and almost same price.

During initial setup I received an email from Ring reminding me to use the included security screws and not wood screws for the device to bracket. This email alerted to look at the security screws. I then noticed the security screws were missing from this brand new box. I called Ring to ask how to get security screws. They told me to BUY the missing screws off their website or return the device to the 3rd party seller (home depot Canada). Based on this most excellent post purchase customer service, I returned the device and our home will Never have a ring product. App deleted.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Bad Battery Had this doorbell for almost 1 year and now in the middle of winter the battery dies within 2 weeks. Motion detection is off so using minimal battery. Battery can't be replaced. Should not be sold in Canada or colder climates with no warning. Pain having to unmount just to charge. Won't buy another.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Ring customer service sucks! Had it for a while, works fine, batteries take a beating in Canadian winters. But it is the Ring customer service that sucks. I changed phone numbers and now my Ring doorbell is worthless, because all my attempts to reset passwords or reconnect my Ring Video Doorbell 2 is just directed to a phone I no longer have. And Ring customer service ignore my cries for help. For me this was a $200 mistake.

Nous avons acheter le produit afin de voir qui venait a la maison lors de notre absence, la sonnette n'enregistre toutefois que quelque secondes alors que la personnes est devant la porte pendant de nombreuses minutes. Nous avons été victime de vandalisme, la ring n'a enregistrer que quelques secondes, c'est plutôt la caméra de notre voisin qui a capté les personnes qui étaient chez nous. Lorsque nous avons communiqué avec le service a la clientèle de ring, personne ne parlait français, ils m'ont donc transféré en Europe. Les deux fois ou j'ai appeler le service clientèle Ring, ils n'ont même pas essayer de corrigé le problème, ils ont simplement essayer de me vendre un abonnement alors que le produit ne fait pas ce qui est demander. Je suis très déçu du produit, mais encore plus du service à la clientèle qui ne laisse même pas les clients exprimé les problèmes rencontrer avec le produit, ils vous coupent la parole et vous disent d'acheté l'abonnement. Je ne recommande pas du tout se produit.

I love that you can speak to whomever is at the door from anywhere in the house, work or even shopping/vacation too with your phone. Deliveries can be monitored too. Love it! It even can play a seasonal message or to say leave a message or wait a moment. Had my first one for several years without any issues so I got one more for another doorway.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from RING Video doorbell - It does what it advertises!! The RING doorbell camera does exactly what it advertises. The picture is clear, the program/app is easy to use and set-up. Sharing access with others is simple and customizable. The battery lasts about a month before needing to be charged. Easy installation and simple clear instructions. One month is free with RING then there is a fee for the service of recording video and retrieving the content. The price is reasonable. The product does what it says it does and actually has impressed us which is why we gave it five stars.

How do you remove front cover of video doorbell.?

Does this Ring doorbell have the option where you can decline the Ring service of giving out your doorbell info to the local constabulary with no warrant or permission given to Ring by the owner or does Ring just do what they want like Google says?

Do I have to have a subscription to see who rings my door bell . Can I talk to them without a subscription??

Yes, without a Ring Protect plan, you can still view real-time video for Ring doorbells and cameras and answer doorbell notifications when they happen, but you don’t get video recordings of those events. The Ring Protect Plan is a subscription that gives you access to paid features for Ring devices such as video doorbells, cameras, alarm, and Car Cam. With a Ring Protect Plan, you can save, review, and share video recordings from your Ring devices to your Ring account. Hi , two questions , does this work with existing door bell chime , or do i need to buy the ring chime extra , and will it keep its charge while hard wired , or do i have to keep charging the bell every so often , thanks

Ring Video Doorbell(2020) does work with most existing doorbell chimes, this does provide a constant trickle charge to the rechargeable battery. The Ring Video Doorbell (2020 release) is compatible with AC-powered door chimes operating between 8-24 volt AC transformers, but is not compatible with wireless door chimes or any chime/intercom system using a DC transformer.
