Rated 1 out of 5 by from Conception à améliorer. Trop difficile de tenir les deux interrupteurs continuellement. Dès qu'on bouge un peu la main, un des deux interrupteurs coupe et l'appareil arrête. C'est un outil qu'on doit tourner souvent pour tailler les côtés et le dessus de la haie. En tournant, la main bouge et l'interrupteur coupe. J'ai dû mettre du ruban (duct tape) pour bloquer un interrupteur afin de pouvoir travailler efficacement pendant 4 heures.(voir photo Hedge trimmer) J'ai aussi un taille bordure Ryobi 18V et les interrupteurs sont différents et plus ergonomiques.(voir photo Grass trimmer). Je crois que Ryobi devrait améliorer cet outil en y installant des interrupteurs tel que sur le taille-bordure(grass trimmer). Merci de porter attention à ce commentaire.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Pole hedge trimmer issues I have several Ryobi tools. Unfortunately this pole hedge trimmer is a terrible design. Not sure if the Ryobi engineers actually tried using this product but is is way too heavy when fully extended. Perhaps a design that transfers more weight to the handle would help. Also, very difficult to use the hand controls when fully extended. Perhaps enabling the power switch to be locked so as to allow user to manouvre the trimmer better. I had to return this product as it is unusable for me as is.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Ryobi One+ 18V Cordless Pole Hedge Trimmer Easily assembled for use and disassembled for storage. The blade enabled me to cut hedges, bushes and small tree branches with ease. The articulating head made facilitated trimming of the tops of the trees and tall hedges minimizing the need for a ladder. The major drawback of the trimmer was its weight, especially when all extensions were needed. Also, the location of the front attachment point of the shoulder strap could be improved to balance the top heavy weight of the trimmer. When fully extended, the trimmer would be challenging for a senior to use. My wife was also not able to handle the trimmer when fully extended. Otherwise, I found the trimmer to be useful and a time saver.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Difficult to maneuver Tried it once, and returned it right away. I am a fairly strong woman, but this trimmer is poorly designed and not optimal for the average person. It is way to heavy to maneuver, especially top-heavy. The strap that is included is positioned in the wrong place, Even at the shortest length, once over my shoulder, my arm just barley reaches the trigger. Even then, there is a safety trigger that you have to press with your thumb, while pressing the main trigger, which is difficult. I ended up taping the safety one so it was in the on position, because it was too hard to keep both on at the same time. If you are a tall, strong person, this trimmer would be great, otherwise, save your money and buy something else.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Too heavy The cutting head is very heavy and is not balanced with the battery end making it difficult to control. More importantly, because the cutting head is so heavy when I turned the unit on its side to cut vertically it shuts off as the weight caused the pole to torque and creates a loose electrical connection. I tightened the plastic connectors but it didn't help. The unit keeps cutting out when cutting vertically. The cutting head weight needs to be reduced. Have to return unfortunately.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Handy but heavy I like the unit for being very handy for our trees and shrubs. I found the trigger to be stiff and was not able to hold it for more than five minutes at a time without switching hands. It’s just too hard to hold. Also found the unit was front end heavy. Unless I was holding it straight up, it seemed very awkward to operate directly in front of me or low. The sheer works fantastic and cuts through branches very easily. Overall it is handy but awkward and heavy to use.

You have to hold 2 buttons simultaneously and both buttons are too small to get a good grip on. And if you have any sweat on your hands whatsoever it makes I nearly impossible to continuously hold them. I had to switch between hands every few minutes and even then my hands were cramping up. It's like they didn't even field test it.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Very heavy for 18V!!! Just received this today and the moment I picked the box up I noticed how heavy it was. I tried to put it together for around 30 mins until the only way to push the pieces together were to smack the end on the ground to get it to fit properly. Very poor quality fittings when you have to do this!! I have no intention of using it with the extra pole as it would be way too awkward to use on my high bushes.

Can women lift it? Heavy?

It is heavy. It has a shoulder strap to make using it easier. However, I find the trigger spring very stiff and I can only hold it down for a few minutes before my fingers can't keep it engaged.
