Rated 1 out of 5 by from Will not work for washing machine or large sink.. I ordered this for under a utility sink, it has no issue pumping water up 8' and across 30'. IT WILL NOT BACK UP WATER, and cannot handle much of a load at all. The problem is that it cannot "backup" water in the sink, so if the flow is too much for the device, it will leak all around the main seal, and not just drips but pour water out. It works ok if just the taps are running, but if you dump a bucket of water into the sink, expect it to be all over your floor.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Sounds like a commercial grade toilet flushing. I would not recommend this pump to be used in a house for laundry. It sounds like a commercial grade toilet being flushed for 5 minutes every rinse cycle, not ideal when you're working from home and on calls or trying to watch t.v. Other than that the pump works great, flushes 8' vertically, easily.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Another connector needed Seems good. Just a low hum when running. Would have been nice if they included enough connection fittings. I had to go back out and buy another soft, sleeve-type pipe connector.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Saniswift Drain Pump (Auto Start) This pump does the job. Drains my laundry tub quickly. Three inlets is good as I use one my rec room sink. Rubber connectors come with pump although some more should be included.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy fix for a basement without in-floor drainage. No issues with the product other than its perhaps a little noisier than I would have expected. Other than that, it does the job beautifully. I highly recommend it.

How is this unit hooked up to electrical? Is it wired or plugged in?

Yes, the unit plugs in. You should have a GFCI plug which is for wet environments.
