The perfect choice for use with coolers, spotlights, fans, cell phones and more, this unit converts an 110 Volt AC wall outlet into a 12 Volt DC plug. The output is 12V DC - 5.8A with an input of 100-120VAC. 50/60 Hz, 1.8 amp.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from exactly what i needed i bought this unit to power the accessory lighting for a ho train layout i am building so far it works great the leds are nice and bright, just have to make sure you put resistors on the wiring to the lights or they will burn out, or burn out quicker, works great full strength for the powered y turnouts instead of using track power or accessory wiring. great purchase so i ordered two, just in case of power loss. so far one is enough, the lay out is 4ft x 24 ft shaped in a U

The converter allowed me to run a 12vDC marine bilge pump in a bucket powered from a 110vAC common household power outlet. I could now leave the house without worry of flooding. The converter did it's job all summer with no hiccups. Nice unit !

Would this run a 12v water pump?

you would have to check the amp draw of the pump to see if the converter is rated for it
