Rated 2 out of 5 by from Should be honest about nominal dimensions. We all know about the nominal sizes of dimensional lumber: 2 x 4 is actually 1.5 x 3.5, etc. Since all the 2" lumber is actually 1.5" it would be logical to expect these to be 1.5" x 1.5" however they are not. I ordered a load for curbside and designed a project based on this dimension--only to discover after cutting but during assembly that all these are consistently 1 3/8" x 1 3/8" This makes combining these 2 x 2s in projects containing 2 x 4 lumber very difficult. Not sure why this changed or when, but it is annoying that it is not acknowledged by the vendor.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Disappointed I have never seen such a batch of bad lumber from Home Depot. There were literally whole edges missing, long cracks, finger joints that weren't fit together completely, excessive knots. You often get 1 or 2 bad, maybe unusable pieces in a lot..(to be expected)..but this was the total opposite. A lot of it ended up being scrap and us short of material.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from poor quality lumber customers unable to select their own lumber must rely on employees to do so; wish home depot was more mindful of this

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Spliced sections of Wood It was full of knots and twisted lumber and splices. Since when did we start to splice 1 to 2 ft sections of lumber together. The splices were all significantly weaker that one section of unspliced lumber. One 8 ft section of lumber had 6 splices. I could not use most of it for any framing.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Bowed Wood quality was ok, but few were anywhere near being straight.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Disappointing Disappointing quality in this lumber, lots of bent pieces not expected when purchaing jointed lumber.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not worth the covid pricing Crooked and split easy. Finger joints aren’t glued very well either. Overall not impressed for the covid price

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Wood you believe In Ontario, trees are made of wood. I like building things with wood. I live in Ontario. It was a match made in heaven.

May I have these cut into 3 feet sections? I have no means to cut these at home. They will be used to make canvases for art. If you can cut them, it would be greatly appreciated!!! :)

Asked by: Kimberlee
They can cut it for you. If I remember it right, 1 cut is free and then you'll need to pay $1 for every additional cut. Also, if you need 3 ocs of 3' each, you need to buy longer than 8'. I suggest to call them first if cutting service is available so you can order online for curve side pickup. Hope this helps.

Hi! I was wondering if I could ask an associate to cut a groove into this lumber, and how much that would cost. Thanks.
