Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice little AC unit - good for small spaces I've only had the unit for a short time but so far so good. Pros: - Installation wasn't too bad. I live in an old house so the wooden windows aren't standard and does require a bit of handy man work to sit right in the frame. But if you have a normal standard window it shouldn't be as bad. - There is a metal grill on the opening to the outside, which is nice because you don't have to worry about any medium sized creatures crawling in from the outside Cons: - no wifi feature to access your ac unit remotely, this feature is good when you want to turn your AC on 30 minutes before you get home - not well suited for large spaces, which is to be expected because of the size, this unit is a better fit for a small bedroom - If you need to move the AC unit far from the window you will be restricted due to the hose length

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Couldn’t ask for more I did a lot of research trying to find something suitable for our place before the summer heat hits, and for the price this machine seems pretty perfect. Sturdy and well built, easy to use functions and pretty quiet (though I think anyone would think any a/c is loud, but honestly it’ll be nice to block out the noise of the bar across the street!).

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Piece of garbage - do not buy And the best part? Big ol' yellow sign taped to it saying you can't return it to the store, so once you buy it, you're stuck with the darn thing. Because of my work hours I've had to wait six days so that I can waste my day off tomorrow being on the phone for who knows how long. -The remote is in french. -The "dry" (dehumidify) mode blows colder air than the a/c mode -When you put it on the a/c mode it blows air for 5-8 minutes, stops completely, not even low mode and does not turn back on until you turn it off and than on again -digital temperature is all over the board; it goes up and down when the temperature hasn't moved -Keeps resetting to Fahrenheit -Now just shows "E3" on the display even after unplugging it and will not turn on -NOTHING in 'troubleshooting' section of manual about E3, every solution is to clean the filters It's 5 days old - I'd rate it lower if only the Home Depot allowed for negative numbers.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from RETURN THE AIR CONDITIONER We Bought this a week ago, and at this very moment of writing this review there is a heatwave 30+. Placed the unit upstairs bedroom, approx. 140sq/ft. The unit A/C temp is set at 16c - the unit was running for 8hrs straight and the room temp still at 25c!! Please DO NOT BUY THIS product! it also has a sticker telling the customer ‘NOT TO RETURN TO STORE, and deal with company’. I think they know why… Do yourself a big favour don’t buy and if purchased you have LEGAL right as a consumer to return it if it’s not working as advertised.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Quiet and cool This A/C is only 49 decibels, lovely and quiet compared to the bigger old school one I had before. It cools quickly. When it reaches the temperature you want, it shuts down and restarts when the temperature begins to rise. It fit my budget, takes up very little space. Oh and you can angle what direction the cool air blows out. A low price for a quiet small air conditioner. Just what I was looking for.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from claims to be auto evaporative but bucket fills up I bought this due to the claim of being auto-evaporative. Its clearly not as the bucket is filled up. furthermore there is no actual bucket, just a drain and its barely a quart of water. Its quite a pain to drain this thing, especially since its advertised as auto-evaporative. This means bucketless and its not that. The hose is also extremely cheap and difficult to place on, any tilt or pull and its coming off and you're heating your house in the summer. I'm going to return this

Rated 1 out of 5 by from So "smart" it refuses to follow instruction I got this less than a week ago and it is barely worth the need. The internal temperature sensors are highly inaccurate for one, the sleep mode doesn't work for another. And most of all, it keeps changing its settings without my input. If I set my air-conditioner to low fan speed it is because I want it to run long and slow, not because I want it to decide it knows best and switch to high speed without my permission. And then it gets stuck in high speed mode and I have to turn the entire thing off and on again just to be able to switch to low speed.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from AC Unit for a room The upstairs of the house gets ridiculously hot in warm weather so this seemed like the perfect solution. It is surprisingly quite, not silent but quite. Setup took me under 10 minutes and it fit in my window nicely. They supplied foam tape to help make it a seal against most bugs which was a nice touch. After a week it seems to be working exactly as advertised for me. The climate is rather dry in my area which seems to result in no overflow so far, the self evaporation capabilities have been able to keep up but I do question its ability if it was more humid as the place where it hold water is rather small. It does say on it if any problems Tongo through the manufacturer instead of homedepot which definitely makes things a bit more complicated if things go wrong. Overall it has done what I have asked and keeps my room nice and cool at a decent price without being too loud. It also is the same height as my Endtables which makes it look less out of place.

Does the unit need to be drained or does the water evaporate and is eliminated through the exhaust?

Asked by: Claudio
Hi, Thank you for your question, The vendor have confirmed that this PAC unit does not require any hose for draining or dumping of any reservoir. It is designed to evaporate any condensation as it runs.

Are these machines not capable of running continuously for extended periods of time? Because I set mine to 18 degrees and the machine kept turning off and on despite the fact that the room temperature never fell below 20 degrees.

Asked by: GabM
Ours doesn’t seem to run continuously. It turns off when it believes it’s reached the set temperature. We have noticed discrepancies in the internal thermostat and our room.

Can this be used in a sliding glass door?

Asked by: Darren
Yes but the panel is only about 2 feet tall for the gap. For best results you’ll need to seal the remaining open height of the sliding door with some plywood insert or a board.

Fan keeps switching to high. Why is this happening? How can I stop this?

Asked by: Tig2693
Hi, Thank you for your question, The vendor have confirmed that the Fan mode is set to Auto the fan will automatically adjust the speed depending on the cooling requirements. To stop this from happening , using the remote control, press the fan key and toggle thru the fan indicator icons shown on the remote's LCD screen to set the fan to either low, medium or high speed.

How many watts does this unit use?

Asked by: Jeffie

Where is the user guide? I cannot find a manual anywhere.. Not even a website for Vissani. There is no information on the current demands of this unit on the box.
