Rated 5 de 5 de par Best Echo Dot [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We are really loving the cool new modern design. We do still have lots of other dots all over our home. My daughter likes to boss Alexa around telling her to turn on the lights and set alarms. We like to have more than one in a room to play music and get a nice stereo sound. This 4th gen has great sound. There is such a multitude of things this can be used for. I haven't begun to figure it all out. I do like that we can turn lights on and off when we are away from home for security. My daughter also gets a kick out of "dropping in" on other rooms. Now if I can just get Alexa to do the dishes.

Rated 4 de 5 de par So far, so good little spy [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have always been leary and paranoid of devices that are listening to you. However, I decided to give the Echo Dot a chance to see how helpful it could be. Setup was relatively simple. Once you download the Alexa app, it walks you through the setup. I have only tried asking Alexa random questions and making her turn off and on. They worked flawlessly. I paired her with the Amazon smart plug so that I could turn both on and off at the same time. I was able to go the settings and tell the program to not keep a record or to delete after a certain amount of time. So far, so good.

The voice of alexa I'd very much louder and clearer than before. She also responds lot quicker. One thing I didn't like was the set up. I found it difficult to register it through wifi. I enjoy the smart speaker for it's amazing speakers and correction to questions. The intercom works incredible and the voice control works many music streaming apps at ease. I also love how I can call friends and family from the device making it hands-free. Once connected you will like this device.

The app you have to download to use it is easy to use.i love that in the app you can use it while your not around the echo. I love how you can make list and set reminders for yourself. I also love all the little games you can play with Alexa too. I like telling it to wake me up, and when I get up I can ask about the weather. The Alexa has so many functions. I also love the design of the echo. I absolutely love this product and recommend anyone looking for something like this to get the echo. You cannot go wrong with getting it.

Once set up you can let the fun times begin. This is great to have to use with my Amazon music. I can play what I want when I want it and the sound is really good. It is small enough that it is easily portable, but still has a big sound. My little girl also loves it. A little too much probably. Poor Alexa is probably tired of answering her questions. She just goes on and on. Fun times for all!!

Rated 5 de 5 de par Great Feature! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Amazon Echo Dot 4th Gen, is honestly such a great product. It’s easy to setup. Has such a clear voice. It understands what you ask very well. I love that you can connect it different music streams. It has a kid feature just for kids which is a bonus. My kids love asking her to fart. Overall it’s a great speaker. Another thing I enjoy is that i can set an alarm or a timer right from the speaker. It’s not big or bulky, it’s a nice size. I highly recommend it!

Rated 5 de 5 de par Easy installation [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Amazon Echo-Amazon Echo Dot (4th Gen) i got this for my bedroom and i have tonsay its so easy to install not to mention it picked up my voice very quickly . it has so many different answer to so many questions you may ask i no longer have too google the weather i can ask hey alexa whats the weather and she promptly answers. My kids even enjoy the fun with this and has spent hours talking and asking questions just to get it to answer.

You will need to download the Alexa app and sync it to your phone . I use my Apple Music with Echo Dot , to play throughout my house.

Alexa won?t answer?

Hi Patt, sorry you're having trouble with the Echo Dot! Whenever my devices are unresponsive the first thing I try is power cycling them. Just unplug the power cord from the dot, wait about 30 seconds, then plug it back in. If it still won't respond after that, try pressing the action button to see if it will respond to you that way. The action button is the circular one on the top of the device opposite of the mute button. If the Dot works when you press the action button, it's possible someone changed the wake word to something besides Alexa. To check and change the wake word: 1. Open the Alexa app. 2. Open Devices. 3. Select All Devices and then select your device. If your device has active Reminders or Routines, you might have to select settings to reach the Device Settings page. 4. Scroll under General and select Wake Word. 5. Select a wake word from the list, and then select OK. You can also press the action button and say "Change the wake word to ____" filling in the blank with Alexa, Amazon, Echo, or Computer. Hope that helps, have a great rest of your day!

Can you put this speaker outside?

Hello Carla, the Amazon Echo Dot can be used anywhere there is power and a WI-FI connection. However, the device is not waterproof or weather proof and should not be left out in elements. I bring mine outside and then when I am done I bring it back inside so that it doesn't get damaged. Hope that helps, have a great day!

Does this one display the clock?

Hi Chelsea, The Echo Dot 4th Gen is not the device with the led clock display. If you wish to have that device it is called the Echo Dot with Clock! The 5th Gen Dot with Clock is out best sounding speaker yet. Both the 4th Gen Dot with Clock and 5th Gen Dot with clock have the led display! Hope that helps!
