Rated 1 de 5 de par Chest stopped working after 2 Years I purchased this freezer Jan 2020. I was thrilled with the size and how it initially worked. However, last week all my food thawed. Light was still on, no sound - but this unit is very quiet. I unplugged it and turned it off, then turned it on again and turned it up. Heard it click when I turned it up, but would not refreeze my food even though light was on. No drainage, no ice on walls. This is a self contained unit, so no exposed coils to clean. It had clearance around it, so it was not over heated and inside there was sufficient air flow around items inside - so it wasn't jammed packed to over heat. I am at a loss and very upset. There is no reset button.

Rated 1 de 5 de par heart breaking I specially ordered a Danby, cause I have a wine chiller and a refrigerator from that brand and I'm satisfied with both products. The exterior of the packaging was ok, but when I opened the box I noticed immediately 3 dents on different panels of the appliance, really disappointing. ( my review was rejected at first because I posted pictures) The interior packaging has almost no foam or any other shock protective material, come on Danby, you can do better to protect your products during shipping. I'm not someone who write reviews normally but this is heart breaking. If I can get some help I will be happy to modify my review.

Rated 5 de 5 de par Perfectly sized black freezer: works like a charm! We needed a freezer quickly and a super-friendly and knowledgeable female staff member helped us to measure the freezer and get it ready to go to checkout. I wish I could remember her name but she's in her late 40's and has chestnut hair. Fabulous customer service! The freezer fit inside our Nissan LEAF and we waited 24 hours before plugging it in just like she told us too, and it works like a charm with no issues so far. Comes with a nifty basket for small items that you slide from side to side and also a white grill divider to stack bigger items on one side. TONS of space so we're good to go for the winter coming. Thanks Home Depot!

Rated 1 de 5 de par Poor, poor service !!! Waited 4 months for delivery. Told us 3 weeks ago they would advise delivery date within 48 hours - never happened. We finally called again and cancelled. To this they replied that yes, sorry they found it was 30 Km down the road. They would credit account, and finally did. Then they called an said they are ready to deliver - Whaaaat !! What a sorry disaster... Home Depot. I really doubt anyone really reads this stuff anyway given how poor the service was. Do you really care????

Rated 5 de 5 de par Great Little Freezer We had to replace a smaller Danby freezer after having it for 8 years because the temperature started fluctuating on it. It was a good little freezer so we went with Danby again but the next size up. This freezer has lots of room at 5.5 cu. ft. Two person house not quite filling it yet, so probably would work for a small family. It does make some soft crackles and sounds when turning on but this is the same our old one did thru it's lifetime. Had it for a few months now and no problems. Works great so far. Delivery was fast and the delivery person even put it up on the front porch for us! Not too heavy so getting it downstairs to its home was easy.

Rated 5 de 5 de par Top notch product Purchased this freezer and found it by fluke. Perfect size. Great color. Divider AND basket. The price and quality is what made us purchase this unit. Having a couple of Danby fridges in the garage and work shop, they have been going strong for years.

Rated 1 de 5 de par bad defects outside I bought this last June 1st but the outer appearance is bad. I had to return it for a replacement, and it's the same thing. 2 new stock, and both have defects outside.The white-like substance is hard and I am not sure what is it. Those white-like substance is present on the freezer I returned and the one I have now. I emailed customer support, received a response to send the photos of the defect. After I sent the photos, never heard back. I keep emailing for any updates, but didn't get any reply.

Rated 1 de 5 de par Quality Control Issues I was excited to get this unit home and set it up, as many of the reviews on this site mentioned how high quality the product is. I made sure to select an undamaged box, had a Home Depot employee help load it into my vehicle, and had two people move the unit into my house. Upon unboxing the device, I discovered that the unit had several scuffs, scratches, and dents. The unit was well packaged so it was clear that I received a refurbished or damaged product, which is ridiculous for $348. Sadly, this is not the first review that mentions a damaged unit upon unboxing. I plan to return the unit. Buy a different brand. The 5-year warrant is meaningless if the product arrives consistently damaged.

can I instal ths to any roome?

Yes this freezer will work in any room. We have it set up in are kitchen it is quit and looks good.

Is this freezer made in Canada or China? I thought Danby made them here in Canada.

I do not have an extra 3 pronged outlet in my apartment. Can I use a 3-Prong Cord/2-Slot Outlet adaptor with this product? And if so, do you have any recommendations for buying that adaptor, like amps/volts/watts/etc. ?

You need to purchase a three prong cable to two prong adapter. Google: Grounded Adapter - 3-Prong Cord/2-Slot Outlet Home Depot doesn’t seem to carry this but is available at other hardware stores.

How many watts of powers does this require.as I use a generator

We just unboxed our brand new freezer on this pass Sunday, and it will not freeze. I don’t know what’s wrong with it. The green light comes on so there is power to the machine
