Rated 5 de 5 de par What a Difference it makes I replaced my DW705 saw with new DW718 saw, and got this free due to DeWalt special offer. I had used older saw on whatever surface I had, but with this stand, I don't have to try to rig supports for work being cut, nor try to find a makeshift work area. MUCH easier, and safer to use this, especially with new slide type saw. Supports with stops are adequate, and overall stand is solid to work on. Took very short time and little effort to set up first time, and very easy to take down, move and set-up once saw is attached. Only "bad" is that legs don't have adjustable feet to allow them to level the stand on non-flat surfaces encountered at work site.

Moving it is a little cumbersome but just take your time. The only real issue that I've had is with the sliding/adjustable material supports/stops. The cheap little lock down knob was worthless. It's a little two sided knob that didn't last but just a few months before both sides cracked a fell apart. I use these a lot and also found that getting my large fingers in to turn the little two sided knob was frustrating at the least. Dewalt should have spent another dollar and supplied some wheel like knobs. I replaced my broken knobs with a round one with finger slots. They work great and lock down very easy and secure.

Rated 5 de 5 de par DeWalt Quality [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When it came time to renovate my basement, I knew I would need to update my old DeWalt 18v tools. My wife gave me clearance to buy every tool I would need. I’ve always been a fan of DeWalt, so it was an easy choice. I loaded up on DeWalt 20v tools and a new miter saw. I’ve been wanting this saw for a while and decided now was the time. I wish I would have bought this years ago. I use it for everything. Superb quality and very easy to use. If you are reading this, just buy it. You will not regret it.

Rated 1 de 5 de par disappointed Bought the saw stand on Saturday. Looking forward to starting a new framing job on Monday. Unfortunately the end stop support assemblies, which are held to the slide out tubes would not tighten. After inspection the thread in the tube end is spot welded to 1mm sheet metal which just keeps distorting as you tighten the attachment screw. Consequentially you get useless floppy supports and stops. Very disappointed in this DeWalt product.

Rated 1 de 5 de par Didn't Meet Expectations, Broke After Second Use I got this during the black friday sale as a "free" add-on when buying the double bevel mitre saw. The saw is excellent and meets expectations. The stand, not so. The issue is the saw mounting bracket, one of which had a clear sheering of one of the pins that allows you to grip the release button to remove the saw. And this after the second time using it. I have to now reach in behind and pull a piece forward to get the bracket to release. With the weight of the saw and brackets, and the awkwardness of removing it from the stand, the last thing you want to worry about is whether or not the thing will release.

This longer version extends further than the short one, and holds long trim pieces better. It was only $20 more than the short version, and well worth it! Fully collapsed, it is just under 6', and extended it is over 12'6" to the supports. Well built and thought out construction. This puts your miter saw at a perfect height on a stable platform quickly and easily. I've used one of these for years working as an independent contractor. Very strongly recommended!

Rated 1 de 5 de par Poor Quality I'm not a contractor, just a home gamer who uses his miter saw 4-5 times per year. I thought having this stand and the miter saw would give me a good setup that I could store away conveniently. This was the case for four years, but the last time I used the saw both of the stand clamps clicked into place and then barfed small metal parts all over the floor. It was really fun to pick all those up, then scratch my head about where they went. Reassembling the clamps did not yield working parts, so I get to replace them. If I was a contractor, I would imagine that this failure would happen within a couple of months of purchase, as I would estimate the number of times I used this setup to be under 20.

How big of a box does this come in? Will it fit in a car or trunk?

Not a car, unless you take it out of the box. It could probably fit in the back seat of a full sized car out of the box. On a truck, easily.

You can mount anything up to 500 lbs on it but it doesn't mean that its a good idea. I would buy the dewalt table saw stand. its $100 less and is designed for your convenience and has wheels to cart it around at the jobsite..

Can i use this with a dewalt chop saw?

The brackets will fit many different miter saws. The brackets have long slots that can fit any miter saw I’ve seen. Now if your talking about the chop saw (cut off saw) I’m sure it could work but I’m not sure if those cut off saws have holes to mount on the brackets. With a actual chop saw you should be able too as long as the saw has holes for mounting or you can modify it if it doesn’t.

Yes, it comes with brackets that can accept many miter saws but you’ll need to provide your own machine screws, multiple washers and nuts in order to secure it all together…
