Rated 5 de 5 de par Good Value We recently ran out of the blades made by different manufacturer and needed a few quick. We ran to all of the local hardware stores and cleaned out of there stock of various different brands. Out of all of them this one last the longest, and much longer than the brand we normally use. I ordered 100 of these online and will be using them for now on. We use them on a commercial chop saw to cut various sizes of stainless steel rod.

Rated 5 de 5 de par Good Blade at a good price I can't speak to the durability of the blade since I only needed to make two long cuts in a metal fireplace surround. I used it in my table saw and the blade made nice straight cuts no problem and appeared to show minimal wear. I'll probably have the same blade for the rest of my life. Good value for what I needed to do.

Rated 4 de 5 de par good for the price My use wouldn't be considered heavy, more More medium duty if anything. depending what your cutting, in my case 1/8" thick angle iron it doesn't last super long after about 20-30 cuts the edge begins to wear, chip, and chatter pretty considerably but for the price of 5 bucks a pop I don't think it could be beat. I'll still but many more of these wheels and if your cutting say flat bar or something it'll cut up to about 1/4" to maybe a little thicker like butter and will make considerably more cuts, it may just be the angle iron that wears it so fast but like I said pretty darn good for the price, would recommend

Rated 5 de 5 de par Very strong and durable. I purchased this disc for my chop saw that I use to cut down the scrap metals I collect from my job. In the past the disc I've purchased from other manufactures start to break apart half way through the job before I finish cutting down the metals. This disc started and finished the job and it's still good to use for the next job. :)

Rated 5 de 5 de par Right for the job Once I figured out how to get the blade mounted on the saw it sliced right through that 80 rebar cuts and was waiting for more when I left.

Rated 5 de 5 de par Cuts metal for a great price For the price, this blade is great for cutting steel and aluminum. If you are cutting on occasional basis then this blade is a great value. It fits on my regular 10" mitre saw that I also use to cut wood. After taking off all non-essential plastic parts that could warp or melt from heat I installed this blade and easily cut 12 gauge steel. It did take some time but I got some nice straight cuts on custom brackets I making. I still had a little flash around the edges from the heat but that was easily cleaned up with the grinder. I would highly recommend this blade for cutting all metals. It sliced right through aluminum tubing like butter. If you are a serious metal cutter then the expensive metal blade is what you'll need. If doing a couple small jobs then this will do as it will get slightly smaller after each use.

Rated 5 de 5 de par Perfect cut through a 5/8" steel rod Easily cut through six 5/8" diameter zinc coated steel rods using Ryobi Mitre Saw. Could not have been easier for a first timer.

Can you use this blade in a Craftsman portable table saw?
Posée par: Handyman707
I don't know what size blade a Craftsman portable table saw uses, but I can confirm that I used it in a Craftsman radial arm saw (from the 1970's).

I have a 10 inch ridgid miter saw. I can use that and this blade to cut aluminum shower doors? is this the best practice?
Posée par: CaTrekker
No, this will not work for aluminum cutting. Instead, we recommend using the 10 in. x 80-Tooth Laminate/Aluminum Circular Saw Blade. To check it out, just search homedepot.com for Product #D1080N.

10 inch chop/mitre saw or not?

I'm seeing some fuzzy responses in previous questions. The MAX speed for this blade is 6100 RPM as stated by Diablo expert. OK, what's the minimum blade speed? Can it be used in what most of us own - a chop saw? In the comments section, I see a lot of answers that appear to show use in chop saws. Not in machine shop metal cut-off saws. I have an abrasive cut-off wheel for my 7 1/4 circular saw - seems to work fine on thin stock, e.g 1/8 inch to 3/16. But - I have a project where I'll want the precision of setting up on my chop saw - yes my wood miter saw. Thickness will be 1/8 inch. Some feedback would be appreciated.

You can turn this blade as slow as you want. I have it fitted to my nice DeWalt miter saw, and no concerns. 1/8" steel? No problem.

can you use this blade to cut plastic or vinyl siding?

Posée par: PBuddy
I would not recommend it. This type of blade cuts by abrading, i.e. rubbing it until it gets hot. This will simply melt the siding. I would suggest a fine toothed blade designed for wood over this blade.

Can this be used on a table saw?

Posée par: Red green
Yes, this blade can be used in a table saw, radial arm saw or (compound) miter saw. However, before using it in a table saw to cut metal that may creat sparks, you should thoroughly clean all sawdust from inside the saw's cabinet to avoid a fire.

Can I use this blade on my compound mitre saw to easily cut eavestroughing?

Posée par: videorider
I wouldn’t, I’d use side sheers. This is for heavier gauge steel like angle iron, rebar, closet rod, etc. This will likely fold up eavestrough
