Rated 1 de 5 de par Product does not function properly Bought this product to heat my garage. It had all the features I wanted. Once installed and switched on it ran it's setup program and never shut down. The heating elements would kick in even when the ambient temperature was well above the temperature setting. The fan would shut down 2 seconds and start up again. The only way to stop the fan from continually running was to close the circuit breaker or set the temperature to 6 degrees. I tried desnagging the unit on the phone with Dimplex(very friendly service) but to no avail. Got a replacement unit at Home Depot only to have the exact same problems. Will return the unit today as there is obviously a design or production flaw. I'm very disappointed.

Rated 1 de 5 de par Bad reviews are true plus more All the frustrating past reviews are true. I should have listened. Read them and believe them. Tech support was absolutely laughably useless as well. I have 2 more to add as well. It has no on/off ability and (as stated by others) will keep running forever. Keep that in mind if it's sucking power for a space you don't use constantly or need heated at all times. Also the bracket is kinda silly in where you have the option of 2 tiny pinhole screws holding this heavy thing above you, or hacking out some of the metal housing to use the larger hole. Anyway, this thing seems to heat a space well and quickly, but has far far too many negatives to be worth it. Useless for my needs anyway.

Rated 4 de 5 de par Good Heater Installed the heater about 2 weeks ago, mid November 2017, in my attached two car garage. Installation was easy (power was already in place). The remote control works well, and the learning phase at initial startup was also very easy; close doors and windows and let the heater run for 28 minutes. I keep the temperature at 51 deg. F for now, and the heater has no issue keeping up. The only minor quible is I would like to have a wall mounted thermostat rather than the ceiling mounted one, even so I recommend this heater.

Rated 1 de 5 de par N'arrive pas à chauffer un espace de 20X16 J'ai acheté cette unité il y a plus d'un an. Je suis très déçu du rendement de cet appareil. Il arrête fréquemment et repars sans avoir atteint sa température, même avec son contrôle accrocher au mur. L'unité repart simplement après s'être refroidie!!! Les directives fournies sont aussi très difficiles à suivre.

Rated 2 de 5 de par works but that's it While the installation was fairly easy, the synchronization with the remote control unit took some time. The heater runs permanently until the set temperature is reached but after the cooling cycle the fan shuts only off for a second or two to start heating. Basically it never stops running. Its probably better to buy the non Connex version and just shut it on and off with the breaker. Not really happy with the way how it functions but at least it looks good on the ceiling.

Installed the heater in my 2 car garage / workshop which is fully insulated in Pa. Installation was relatively easy, went thru all the set up procedures only to find the unit short cycles continuously and did not begin to heat the room after running for two days straight! Reread instructions and went back over several times to no avail. O.K. maybe it`s me. Called the co. for troubleshooting,waited on hold for 40 minutes. I explained the problem and asked do other people have this same problem. The girl I talked to said yes, so I asked how do they fix it and she replied they just live with it!! Needless to say the heater is off the ceiling and in the box going back to home depot. I basically wasted 10 hours of my life and have to look for another heater to buy and install. B. Kahl

Rated 1 de 5 de par Didn't Last a Year I bought one of these heaters last fall, it worked reasonably all winter keeping my garage around 5 degrees. This fall it started and ran a couple days before dying. Support from Dimplex is non existent. Don't let them tell you otherwise. It's impossible to get anyone on the phone and they do not respond to emails. DO NOT BUY UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES.

Good Morning, The general rule for electric heat is to use 10 watts of heat per square foot of space i.e. 1000 watt heater will heat 100 square feet (10’ x 10’) in a standard insulated room. RayCon 1964 Update: I returned a second unit and got a third one. This time I let it run it's calibration for almost three hours. It runs much better now. Another suggestion is to hold the remote up close to the unit when synching, then install on wall.

Should the heating coils get red hot when the unit is attempting to reach set point? Mine only blows warm air and enclosure does not get hot at all as all the warnings would suggest
