Rated 5 de 5 de par This pruner is awesome! I have a heavily wooded back yard and I purchased the pruner with the 3 foot extension. This product works great. The pruner itself is easy to use and works great. With the 3 foot extension, the entire unit is 11 feet long which enabled me to cut off a number of higher limbs safely and easily. The picture I'm uploading with my review shows it with the extension in front of my 10 foot shed filled up with fuel, chain oil and ready to go! Glad I bought this product. Without it, I would have had to call a tree service company to cut some of the limbs. This pruner is a great value.

Used the pole pruner for the first time yesterday; used it to cut back huge sega palms. This tool was perfect and allowed me distance to avoid overgrowth where snakes could hide. Really like Echo brand as I have used my power source and other attachments for about 18 years. I am a 63 old female so anything gets heavy after a while but I cannot complain because I feel confident any other brand would have been the same. Just work in shorter periods which keeps cleanup shorter too!

Excellent for pruning branches high up where it's not possible to climb up to them. Cut very quickly and cleanly. Tend to bind if forcing the pruner so just let the tool do the work. Gently start it and then place it on the branch. The cut will occur immediately with minimal effort. The saw is less effective with the extension bar; that is expected. I have a PAS-225 so the head is somewhat underpowered for this pruner. That said, it manages to clear a few branches off my oaks, and airing them up nicely. Now I have perfectly pruned oak trees for many years to come. Great attachment to have with the PAS power head.

Rated 5 de 5 de par Great pole saw! I purchased this power pruner a week after I purchased the PAS-225VP trimmer/edger combo pack. The power unit ran so well I knew it would do wonders with the power pruner and I was not disappointed. The pole saw cuts through limbs like butter and the 225 doesn't skip a beat. I wish I would have replaced my old craftsman pole saw ages ago! This pole saw comes with a quality bar and chain whereas other brands put a wimpy chain on their pole saws to limit their cutting capacity.

One this I will agree with on the other reviews is that is has some weight to it. I recently used it to to 63, yes that's 63, Bradford pear trees over a 2 day span. Granted one other guy was in a boom doing the very top portions, but I cleared a good 75% of it just from the ground. It never came off the bar or slowed down one time from start to finish. So happy I decided to go with this instead of a competitor's brand one.

Rated 5 de 5 de par Invaluable for trimming Crepe Myrtles My crepe myrtles are all very tall. Some hang over into the street, and the ones directly in front of my house are hanging so low from their own weight they block my sidewalk. Of course, I could have simply cut them off at about five feet, but I really didn't want to give up so much height and have new branches sprouting out too low. This pruning attachment was the answer, especially since we cut crepes at an angle, not square to the trunk. I also bought the three foot extension. One word of caution: The pruner with the extension added is quite unwieldy and requires that you slow down and be very deliberate. Use the supplied harness. I was able to prune as high as twelve or thirteen feet standing flat-footed......exactly what I had hoped for. Putting the sections together is a little ornery, but a smear of lubricant on them helps them snap together better.

I purchased the Echo pruner attachment to use with my Echo PAS -225 and I am very impressed with it's performance. I've used it three times and it has worked very well each time. I've used it with and without the three foot extension I also purchased and it has worked great both with and without the extension. I would highly recommend the Echo pruner to anyone!

Rated 5 de 5 de par Best $200 spent I have a section of yard approximately 125x25 that has been overgrown with ligustrum that is over 15 feet tall along with briers and skinny trees stretching 30' to reach the sun. It's been that way since we bought the place nearly 7 years ago. Every summer we have debated hiring someone to clear it out for us but were hesitant to find out what the cost would be. Recently, we saw an assisted living facility with their tall ligustrum neatly trimmed. We decided to try that ourselves. That's why I bought the Echo pruner attachment. (I already have the trimmer and edger attachments and love them.) It made short work of the low hanging ligustrum limbs, as well as the skinny trees. The city estimated our debris at the street to be about 30 cubic yards. We have about 25x25 left to do. The pruner has operated perfectly, has made easy work of our job and as I told my wife, is the best $200 I've spent in a long time.

The pruner attachment does not, but the main unit (in my case a PAS-266) has a shoulder strap and clip to the boom prior to any attachments to offset the pruner weight.

The small tank is for bar and chain saw oil, for lubrication, it is not a gas tank. The pole pruner snaps into to power source.
