Rated 5 de 5 de par Win win win Loving this. Contractor working my patio stones mentioned an "environmentally friendly" option for the stuff they put between the bricks. My wife overheard and of course latched onto the idea. I had doubts. But I was wrong (don't tell my wife). Product is outstanding. For about the same cost you get this living sort of sand: it cracks in winter, then reseals when it rains. My old stones looked bad cause the poly-stuff I used previously just cracked. Full stop. Super easy to use and reapply. No more weeds on pad, either. AND it's green. Happy earth. Happy backyard. Happy wife. Happy me.

Rated 2 de 5 de par Disappoiting results for a $500 project Bought 20 bags to redo my driveway. I followed the instructions to a tee 1) pressure wash existing sand and weeds out from pavers 2) sweep in Envirosand , diagonal to the pavers in a pounding motion 3) rent a tamper to help settle the sand into the pavers. 4) re-sweep loose sand into pavers 5) use a leafblower to gently blow off sand sitting on pavers 6) light mist (wait 10 minutes) 7) spray hard (should see white milky water... which I did) - within a week, ants began burrowing up and creating ant hills - within 3 weeks weeds began to grow up between MANY pavers. The sand does not seem to remain hardened, it simply feels like regular sand now. For the time (roughly 10 hours) I put into thoroughly pressure washing weeds and old sand from pavers and for the cost of the sand I was expecting MUCH better results.

Rated 5 de 5 de par The name's Bond, Envirobond I like my paver grout "set, not stirred" and this product has a "license to fill." Puns aside, i needed something to fill the gap between large paver stones on a mini patio project. I positioned the stones about 1-2" apart and filled in bigger gaps with cobble. I then brushed this product over the gaps and watered with mist. This is the EnviroSAND product. There are other grades for smaller gaps but this one worked well for my project. The grout set very well but didn't overharden. It leaves a spongy finish, which is what i wanted and will prevent cracking come winter.

Rated 5 de 5 de par patio joint sand excellent I have used envirosand for over 9 years on 2 different patios. It was easy to install. There has been little to no maintenance. Even on my recent patio I did not have to do any resetting of patio stones due the harsh winter we had. I have never had to purchase more of the product to 'top up' any of the joints. The glue like feature seems to lock it all in place including the exterior borders of the patio.

Rated 1 de 5 de par Does not work, leaving "dry" spots I was sold by the environmental angle and bought it over my usual polymeric sand whcih I had used for years. I followed the instruction to a tee and was shocked that some spots absoultely refused to absorb water. I stood over with a sprayer and later even poured water directly over these spots but they remained "dry". The next day, the joints look uneven with different colour tone so I surmised that bonding did not occur, and I am facing a do-over with my usual polymeric sand! It's so frustrating wasting precious time and labour, let alone added expense.

Rated 3 de 5 de par Cracks appeared in only 8 months! A contractor and I re-did my walkway because there were lots of cracks between the bricks. We redid the foundation, replaced all of the bricks, and used this product. The job was done last July (2019) and the cracks appeared this April (2020). What might be the problem is that the plastic length-wise reinforcement pieces need to have sup[port themselves. There are very long and big (8"-9") galvanized nails that embed and firm up the supports, but obviously, they are not enough to keep the reinforcements and the bricks from moving due to ice, rain, and snow. Perhaps the manufacturer could offer a solution to the problem.

Rated 5 de 5 de par Still in place! My husband installed the Envirosand product in June 2014. I doubted him when he said that it would still be there come Spring 2015. The penalty was that I had to write this review. You win John...It's still in place! This product definitely works.

Rated 1 de 5 de par Did not last one year I used this product in a walkway made up of 18 inch square patio stones spaced about 1/8 inch apart. The product never hardened, as advertised, so I immediately had ants removing the product. At the first spring season after installation half of the product had been washed away by the thaw. I now need to remove the envirosand and redo the whole thing with real polymeric sand.

One of the reviewers stated that they used this product is for larger gaps. Yet on the bag the recommended range states for gaps up to 3/8''. I have a wide range of gaps from 1/8'' to 5/8' to fill. Will this product work for this range?

The packaging describes the colour as being "natural" - what is the definition of "natural"? Is this a light brown colour or something else?
